Here is a piece of artwork I just finished… although it is far from what I would like it to be, I was able to get a concept down on paper. I took inspiration from medieval lore and history to define the aesthetic of these interpretations of the Toa Mata. I wanted to make the Toa that form Akamai to have armor and masks that resembled medieval armor, and the Toa that form Wairuha took inspiration from some mythical creatures, Lewa has the wings of a dragon, Gali is a mermaid, and Kopaka (if you can see him back there) resembles a living skeleton.
I plan on redrawing this, I just wanted to formalize my idea.
