Theory connecting Mataverse and Nuvaverse

Yes, but there has been evidence for the connection of the 2. Did you not watch TTV podcast 119? They explain about the LEGO officials at NYCC who brought up the fact that the Vahi was only half a mask, and the fact that the perfect analogy for the old and new story connection was the new Star Trek movies where it is a new story, but it has a connection to the old universe.

@Chro I did say earlier that the main part of the theory is the fact that
Ekimu saw the fight with makuta coming so he trained the protectors in
the power of creation and they became the great beings. The rest was
just to fill in the gaps.

Edited for Double Post -Nyran

I’ve said this before, and by all means I’ll say it again.
You cannot count something as a theory if you have gone out of the stated facts.

As Chro said, this is a fanfiction. I am not against fanfiction, and this is an interesting idea, but you cannot call it a theory and be correct.

Except this is all irrelevant once you realize that LEGO CONFIRMED THERE IS NO CONNECTION.

Apparently Jordan Paxton was just wrong. Official word from Lego overrules that of a specific person.
I don’t remember seeing Lego making an official confirmation that there was no actual connection, but I’ll take the word of everyone else for it.

Obviously LEGO would not want to confirm a connection, if they confirm one they have no plot twist for 2017.

@Ekorak this is not a fanfic, as I have stated before the rest was just to fill in the gaps.

I don’t think you quite get the point of what we’re saying. Regardless of whatever can be said there are zero facts to support the good majority of this story. Like I said, I approve of the story, but it cannot be considered a theory so long as so much of it breaks the facts we already have. I like the story, but not as a theory.

I have no doubt that the ‘GSR’ event of the new Era of Bionicle will be some dramatic reveal that connects it to the old Era of Bionicle.

Like I said on my other topic - that plot twist will be that the protectors are the great beings. EDIT: this is my other topic. I’m an idiot.

This is one long interesting theory!

I do have some doubt about that - but I could still see it happening.
(That said, it’s officially confirmed as a reboot, right? So no. :slight_smile: )

Incorrect actually, closest they came to giving any confirmation on its status was that it was like the Star Trek film series, which is actually technically a continuation/sequel to the prior films as we have Spock from the old timeline. The events of the old timeline still happened and Spock remembers them and uses them to help in the new timeline.

The idea that its a reboot is entirely the opposite of everything they’ve been telling us, the idea of the Vahi being made up of two parts, the idea of time travel and the Toa being from the same universe all hint that its actually a continuation.

It probably has a more important story relevant name that is simply not being revealed because it’ll have a large impact. Once again, get the feeling this will link to the ‘GSR’ event of the new Era of Bionicle.

According to DV, the Bionicle team directly told him that it was a reboot when he went to dinner with them during NYCC. I think he is a reliable source. That being the case, it certainly does seem really weird that Jordan Paxton was saying stuff about “half a mask” and so on.

@Chro
Mmh, well I don’t believe DV is lying, so chances are the following happened;

Before the panel TTV and others asked someone on staff, who explained that it was like the Star-Trek films, e.g a semi-reboot/continuation caused via time travel

During the presentation, they noticed the Temple Of Time and realised that they shouldn’t have revealed the fact that it was a continuation of the prior series, hence why the Temple Of Time photo is missing from the official photo’s

After the presentation, DV had a meal with the Bionicle team when he inquired they told him it was a reboot as at this stage they realised that they were not meant to call it a continuation as that contained future storyline spoilers.

Chances are it is a Star-Trek like continuation caused by some manipulation of Time (Probably involving the Vahi) and those involved know that it will be a part of the storyline in the future. The issue is when they choose to reveal it.

That’s basically what I assume happened.
I’m guessing it’s an alternate-reality thing, since while the 2015 Masters may be similar characters with the same names to what we’re familiar with, they are definitely not the exact same characters, which means it’s not a scenario where the G1 Mata time-traveled and landed on Okoto or something in that vein… I feel like Villman with all these italics.
