Once the Toa Avokai had completed their given quest, finding the mask of light, they were reassigned with two extra members in order to aid in the upcoming war with the Makuta. The Toa received a warm welcome at their home and capital of the empire, Metru-Nui. At the same time, now able to access the forges again, Nuparu refit the team.
Jaller remained unchanged after his last refit, and Nuparu’s chest plate was remade to symbolize the forge fires he worked with.
Macku and Hewkii’s armor was reinforced. The former received a chest piece that would not limit her agility, and the later gained extra leg plating to increase his defense and kick damage.
Kongu received more aerodynamic leg armor, increasing his maneuverability in the air. Meanwhile Matoro had his climbing warpick replaced with a pair of climbing claws(feels familiar). After sharing their last few adventures, he and Kongu had grown to become close friends.
The team is joined by Hahli, a Toa of water able to transform for greater speed in the seas, and a cunning fighter.
The last addition to the Toa Avokai was Takua. The ta-matoran had a knack for wandering and “slacking”, but was a well meaning sort. Jaller, at Hahli’s suggestion and desiring to help his best friend, made a special request to Empress Tuyet herself.
Thus, Takua would be assigned the Toa Avokai as their chronicler. Elated at the chance to see knew sights and rejoin his friends, Takua accepted the task.
Thus a new chapter began for this brave Toa team, as war with the Makuta loomed over the Toa empire…
