That’s a genius head/mask design! I like the execution of this MOC. I don’t often see System figures that aren’t overly blocky.
That brick-built Volitak is incredible. It’s very expressive and recognizable. It gives the figure a somewhat “cartoony” apperance that is also consistent with the rest of the build, which is something I don’t think I’ve ever seen in a Bionicle model.
I’m not usually a fan of smoother/non-greebly Bionicle builds, but the style makes it work really well here.
Finally, this is a really small detail, but I like the that “muffler” sticks out the other side of the mask compared to the original Volitak piece; it reinforces my own personal interpretation that the “muffler” is a separate add-on to the mask (like the scope on an Akaku) as opposed to part of the standard shape of the mask.
