This is my take on Toa Dume in his prime as protector of Metru Nui. I see people usually give the guy a giant warhammer, but I wanted to go a differenr route. I mean, someone had to have taught Lhikan the way of the dual blades.
Gave him double jointed knees and double articulation in the ankles. Also made use of that handy new ratchet joint system for the torso– swiveling and bending like he’s fresh off yoga class.
All pieces, sans the custom Kiril made by Galva, are available as is (as per Bricklink lol)
Seeing as Dume’s scheme is already red and black, I decided to add a third color for highlights. Took inspiration from Mr. Twister from Young Justice because he is just goated in terms of character design.
I mainly used the technique used in the wings of Zane’s Ice Dragon set, and added a Star Wars constraction style hilt. Both blades could be attached together to form a double-edged glaive of sorts, Darth Maul/Thanos style.
Lol my friends call the sword “Hard Light Kratos”
The edit is a homage of sorts to my very first Bionicle photoedit composition in 2020; this is a bit of a return to form for me, as I revisit the hobby after years to celebrate how I’ve grown, I suppose.
