Hi, I decided to put the winners from the Toa Hagah contest in the groupshot I made for my entry. I revamped them a bit to add some consistency to the characters as a team.
Kualus and Pouks are pretty much the same. I changed Kualus’s arm color from black to white for consistency with Norik and Iruini and I switched Pouks’s hips from brown to black so his color scheme isn’t the same as in Iruini, as well as changing the spear tip with a Mahritoran blade.
Bomonga’s limbs do not fit with the Hagah built and I felt like it shouldn’t have been allowed in the first place, so I changed them to vahki legs that keep the chunky appearance of the character. I also changed the limb color from dark grey to black for consistency purposes. I changed the gears with bigger ones (which aren’t available in black but to have the black rhotuka you’ll need to get black paint anyway) that have the connections that allow the pin friction movement that characterizes the Toa Hagah’s left arm.
Though Gaaki’s shoulder armor looks good, it clearly doesn’t match with the rest of the team. If both golden boys have metru shoulders and Pouks and Kualus have both Knight’s Kingdom shoulders, why wouldn’t the silver couple have the same shoulder armor as well? I also placed the arms closer to the body to give Gaaki a more feminine silhouette. Lastly, I liked the ribbed hose idea, I changed it a bit so it just requires one long hose and does not interfere with the closer arms and thicker shoulders. I also changed the mask as suggested by the maker with the gavla’s Mask of Voidstepping, because my favorite Gaaki entry used it and looks really good on a female character, and it fits perfectly with Nuva shoulders. Finally, I replaced the spear tip with the fire Rahksi staff (I know it’s firy but, hey, it looks vaguely like a trident, Berix uses Tahu’s flame sword to simulate water currents as well and Norik has Gali’s water weapons, so it’s not that big of a deal) because the Pridak blade is not in flat silver as the rest of the armor and it’s too expensive.
This is not intended as an entry for the contest but it may inspire someone to make a similar groupshot with some interesting background. If you still prefer Bomonga’s torso limbs and Gaaki Kalmah shoulders it’s totally fine, but I encourage using the Voidstepping mask, I like it a lot.
