Hi. I wanted to share my take on the winning Toa Hagah and the way I’m planning to build them, eventually, made on Studio and Photoshop.
Some slight changes to the MOCs:
Kualus: He is almost exactly the same. I only removed the studs from the mask.
Pouks: He is mostly unchanged too. I only changed his hips to black and metru chest to brown because otherwise his color scheme would be the same as Iruini’s. I want each Hagah to have a unique black-metru color distribution. Iruini has a black chest and neck, Norik has a black torso, and Kualus has black upper arms, and black hips fit better on Pouks than on Gaaki.
Gaaki: She is highly personalized. For instance, this is like a mix between my entry and the winner. I used my arm to torso connection that reduces her shoulder width, gives her more feminin proportions and works as a contrast to Bomonga’s wide shoulders. I also changed the Kalmah armor for nuva shoulders because I didn’t like them and there are two metru-shoulder and two KK-shoulder armored Hagah, so I wanted to keep a 2:2:2 shoulder armor split. I changed the chest color from metallic to dark blue because I didn’t like how the bohrok shield and the chest mix together when they are the same color. I also changed the way the hoses attach on her back to use only one common long ribbed hose. The color of those pieces on her back are black for the same reason I changed Pouks’s hips. Her eyes are red because, well, I think it was a mistake from TTV to allow artists to change the metallic armor for cohesion but not allowing to change the eye color. It feels weird to have three neon green-eyed Toa, so I gave them a 1:1:1:1:1:1 eye color split. Pouks and Kualus already have light blue and dark green eyes respectively, that leaves me with either red or dark blue eyes for Gaaki and red blends better with copper than blue does.
Bomonga: He is the most personalized of the gang. This one is a mix between the winning MOC and the studio version of Perpetual’s entry. I genuinly didn’t like the 5 metru torsos at all, so I changed all those limbs, including the arms, for vahki legs, thus keeping the thickness of his arms. The shoulders are connected in a way that resembles Perpetual’s Bomonga, using a bigger gear that allows the left arm to have the pin friction that all the other Hagah have. Like in Gaaki, I changed the chest color from metallic to black for the same reason, and the eyes are blue as it was the only color left and it blends very well with green. To finish, I placed the torso one pin hole up, so it has the same height as the original MOC, and changed the dark grey limbs for black ones for cohesion.
