Old revamp I wanted to do, was recently inspired to do it. Weapons not available since I’m missing one, probably under the dresser somewhere…
Thanks!
The images look strangely way too up close.
From what I can make out the build does look okay, but he’s sort of lost his uniqueness.
Looks really good, it has the great animal unfinished tattered monster look like it should.
@SwagMeister Click on the photos something is wrong with the boards
@SwagMeister
Uniqueness?
Thank you! I took inspiration from looking at the Toa Mata, as well as the mixed aesthetic from the original pieces?
I like it… But it looks a little unfinished. It’s a good representation of the set (he still has the weird left arm I see…). Keep working with it, polishing it up and this could be really awesome.
Nice job, @CarumSarene!
Thank you! It’s supposed to look that way.
OK, well if it was a purposeful stylistic choice I won’t criticize you for it. I must say, though, the blue pins are real XD.
I figured blue pins would be a nice accent color XD lol
I like this, it’s a pretty good improvement over the original Hordika.
The torso is easily the best part imho, and I have to say that I really like the build and the look of the digitigrade legs. The blue pins kinda work as accent color, they don’t bother me.
Now for the cons: I’m not a fan of the upper arms, especially of the metrutoran feet one.
Also, he needs his weapons. You could either give him both of them or revamp one of the forearms to integrate one.
The upper legs could be armored better, but that’s just me nitpicking
All in all good job
Looks pretty good. You should include his weapons too, then he’ll be complete
Thank you!
I might redesign the longer arm. As for the extended shoulder, it’s meant to be deformed and have a similar look to the classic toa metru shoulder armor.
I might be redesigning the weapons with a slightly larger scale, see how they’re now dwarfed in comparison.
Thank you! I might add weapons once I figure out how to build them.
wait didn’t @Sammythekat make this?
but anyways your mocs are as good as your drawings!
Yes they did. But around a month ago I had a quarter-finished hordika nuju moc buried in my parts box. I saw their build and it inspired me to dig it out and redo it. Which I’m kind of glad I did because I got a couple new pieces that ended up working wonderfully for this. Especially the ccbs frame. (I wish it had a lot more friction though)
Yea, I inspired her (@CarumSarene’s a girl, right? correct me if I’m wrong).
And BTW, I’m a guy.
I’m a hermaphrodite. Both male and female. (XXY) But she pronouns are perfectly okay
Oh okay, I wasn’t sure so I used gender neutral pronouns. Thank you again!
Ok, for the sake of simplicity, i’m gonna refer to ya as a female, because I can only assume that from your avatar.
Okay then
Thank you again
This looks like one fine Nuju revamp, it puts my attempt at Kopaka to shame, really great job, I really like the shaping of the legs and shoulders.
Thank you so much! I just try to find what gives the best overall shape that I’m looking for, then find out how to place it.
