Toa Kaita Revamp

Hi everyone! My next entry in the 25th Anniversary Revamp Project of every 2001 set, I present the Toa Kaita: Akamai and Wairuha, the respective Spirits of Valor and Wisdom. The Toa Kaita are two of my favorite elements of both the story and playability of early BIONICLE, demonstrating both the importance of unity and the encouraging aspect of creating unique models. That being said, I know that the proportions are…odd. I kept that distinct look here for the most part, though I did change some of the weapons to be a bit more in line with the story (i.e. Akamai’s ‘club’).

They are pretty stable, though I might take another stab at their leg design before I eventually move onto the Manas revamp later this year. Hope you enjoy!

Very interesting take on the two original titans. How much of the six Mata sets did you utilize in making these in comparison to the amount of additional pieces?

@Ghid I tried to use about the same percentage of original Mata pieces on the Kaita as I did my individual Toa revamps, which was something like at least 5-8 pieces per Toa (excluding masks and heads).

@Pakari Appreciate it, thanks! @RedPandalorian Thank you! I really tried to keep their silhouettes close to the original, so I’m glad it captures their classic design.

Are you going to do another Revamp again with another canon fusion?

@Au-Plau-Se Perhaps in the future. The Tarakava, Manas, Kewa, Lightning Bug, and Fishing Boat are all on the roster, but I do plan on doing Makuta and Takanuva, too, which means I will inevitably do Takutanuva!

Speaking of Takutanuva, isn’t the Takutanuva scene from MoL the coolest** scene in cinema history!?** I would love to see your take on the character!

These are fantastic! Nice job. Really captured the essence of the OGs and made it your own!

@Fritzkrieg Thanks, as always, for your praise! Capturing the essence is what I strive towards for all these revamps, so it is heartening when it comes through.
