You said that you named them after maori words right? What about a character named after Karaehe pani (Stained glass)?
Thant sounds cool! Gona have to think of a colorfull Design to fit that name.
Thanks for the suggestion!
You are most certainly welcome. Also will the design be based on the stained glass from the video game Bloodstained?
Mega update! Got some new mocs and some revamps, so lets get to it!
First, my new mocs. The brown and tan toa Toki and the red and white toa Aukume. There are some new mechanisums that I excitedly implemented into these mocs.
P.s, Toki means rock in maori and Aukume means magnet.
Starting with Toki, you can place a Lego rock on his back and then pull his lever to knock it forward with his arms. The rock goes surprisingly far.
Second is Aukume, which I am happy to say, has a similar gear set up to a Toa Mata. You can turn the lever on his back to swing his sword. This is achived by using the slim type of gears. I am very happy that this works.
Next is my revamps. All three of these toa have been rebult from the ground up, I wasnt very satisfied with thier first iterations. Also it gave me an exuse to implement some of the play mechanisms from the new mocs.
First up is Rama, toa of fire. He can now swing both arms when you turn the lever on his back.
Next is Moana, toa of water (I shortened her name from Waka Moana to be more readable). She will now paddle with her flippers when you turn the lever on her back.
Last is Pupuhi, toa of starlight. You can now pull on his jet pack to swing is arms forward. You can also poit his jetpack down.
Next are some minor changes I’ve made to the other toa. Just some mask and minor peice changes.
Last but not least, the new Toa team line-ups.
First what I consider as the good guys. They are flawed and struggle to work together, but ultimetly fight to protect the population of thier island home.
And next is the “evil team”. They work in the shadows and use Rahi to oppress the island population, only to reveal themselves when the Rahi are defeated. I like to image this team as a “wave 2” that fight the toa.
And thats all for now. I am pretty happy with these mocs for now. See ya next time!
I really like this guy. He’s goofy enough to stand apart from the rest while being cohesive enough to be a nice MOC. That function is very interesting, I gotta try building it some time.
These are all awesome revamps you made. Say for the next new moc, will you make a new character based on the characters from “Mondo Mascots” on twitter and/or Bluesky?
No, sorry. I’m not particularly interested in that type of stuff.
Absolute fire!
Though the names can be hard to read over the busier backgrounds
Yeah… Sorry about that. I noticed it too, definitely something I’ll keep in mind for next time. As well as choosing simpler backgrounds (all of them are from stock image sites).
Pocket Voodoo Rahkshi
After the triumph over the evil Toa team, Makuta reveaiks himself! He sends his sons, the Rahkshi, to keep the Toa occupied so that he can innact his final plan.
These are my Rahkshi mocs, built to be in scale with my Voodoo toa and to be notably diffrent from each other. Also, inspired by Cybots, they also incorperate elements of industrial vehicles, alluding to a possible use before being used for Makuta’s scheme.
First Rahkshi is Hukarahk (Maori for snow with the Rahkshi prefex at the end). This Rahkshi has the tools to explore and navagate the snowy environment.
Next is Anarahk (Maori for cave with the Rahkshi prefex at the end). This Rahkshi has the tools to drill underground.
Next is Kawerahk (Maori for carry with the Rahkshi prefex at the end). This Rahkshi can lift and carry heavy loads. It can also crush dense material in its grip.
Next is Ahirahk (Maori for fire with the Rahkshi prefex at the end). This Rahkshi has tools for seting fires and a heated tipped poker.
Next is Rakaurahk (Maori for tree with the Rahkshi prefex at the end). This Rahkshi has tools fove navagating through woodlands and cutting down trees.
And lastly, Awarahk (Maori for river with the Rahkshi prefex at the end). This Rahkshi hase tools for submerging water while keeping its pilot oxygenated.
Thats all I have for now, see ya next time!
This gives me what if vibes. Like how the matoren used the dead rahkshi to build Takanuva’s bike. What if rahkshi used dead toa to build themselves new bodies.
If bionicle had gone this route, it wouldn’t have died.
Interesting opinion there.
I think it could’ve worked if they went down this route.
These are super cute! Well done!
You added these all? Nice!
These are all so awesome! Perfectly captures the fun and weirdness of the 2001 sets. And they even have functions! You also did a really good job combining the slizers styles with the boneheads look.
