This is my ver 2.0 from my Calix’s user.
The Kanohi Calix is the mask of fate. It allows its user to perform at the absolute peak of their natural physical abilities. At this physical peak, the user can run, jump, and dodge faster and more accurately than almost any unenhanced member of their species.
Thinking about the mask’s powers, I chose to make a body that seemed stronger and at the same time more bestial. Thus, the idea was a Toa with a body and armor that optimized his calix mask’s powers and made him stronger, especially in his arms. And since he has precise movements and is stronger than the others, I made him a rahi hunter. This could explain one of the reasons he was called to help in the fight against the Kanohi Dragon, one of the most dangerous rahis of the era.
And because of its title, I named him to Kumu because of the Kumu Islets. These islets served as a refuge for several mutant Rahi victims of the Visorak invasion of Metru Nui. Thus, this region was inaccessible for the matoran to colonize because of the dangerous mutant wildlife. Being known as a specialist in hunting rahis, these islets received his name for being the probably only Toa Mangai that could end the dangers present there.
For his mask, I chose a Calix with a scope. The reason is both for the nostalgic content (reminds me of the Kopaka and Nuju masks) and to help Kumu in his hunts (identifying trails and tracks, seeing far away, thermal vision).
Finally, we have his weapon, a pair of claws with ice powers and extremely resistant: The Tundra Claws. They are hard and resistant and able to cut many materials and even manage to generate ice rays in the lower part of the claws. The tubes connecting his arms and forearms serve to guide and amplify the ice power he has for his claws. When he pierced his quarry, he would freeze it from the inside out.
