Just felt like polishing my own Toa Nidhiki this week. I’m way ahead of the contest this one is meant for, but I like getting a head start. Cheers to our green traitor! I don’t blame him tho; Auntie Lariska can be quite convincing.
No Silver? No problem. I see his Scythe-wielding hand wearing a glove/gauntlet of sorts. Trans-Green diamond tiles spread all over as my interpretation of his… Emerald Armor.
The revisions this piece went through were unbelievable. This used to have a long flex tube running around it like a cyberpunk weapon. Reduced it to a simpler mechanical scythe, with its RWBY-inspired shape and size intact.
Nidhiki and Krakua both came from the Tren Krom Peninsula. One of the prevailing notions is that since ‘Matoran-born’ Toa take the shape of the Toa they imagine one looks like, Nidhiki may have taken after the image of the very old Krakua. (Thanks ibukkey for pointing that out, I wouldn’t have put it together if it weren’t for you)
Taking into consideration the existing set for post-mutation Nidhiki as a Dark Hunter, I incorporated features(pieces) into his Toa form that would make some demented sense, such as his Toa tool mutating into his hands or his upper torso falling down to his hips.
Furthermore, as more of a homage to the main Toa he is associated with, I incorporated the signature gear piece on the back(non-functional) and the Toa Metru foot as a chestpiece.

Canon Contests are over, but I don’t care. The Mangai are my favorite Toa, and I’ll definitely give the other eight members a go one day. Cheers!
