Transformer New Horizons: Rebirth of The Tyrant. RP

“No, but you have been surviving so far. With luck, maybe for not much longer.” Timberjack replies.

Railgun retrieves a couple solid rations and perhaps some liquid Energon, provided it’s more on the soft side. He gives Nebula her portion and takes a seat opposite of her. There seems to be a delay before he touches any of his own Energon, as if waiting to see is she’s truly fine with it before taking a bite of his own.

Scrap, should I say something? Machbreaker, where is your dribble when I need it.

“So…” Railgun awkwardly begins, trying to think of anything. “You asked me once if I had any hobbies, but I fail to recall you ever mentioning yours.”

“How did you spot it then?” Sheller asks.

“You read the reports when they returned?” Coverfire asks, resting chin in hand.

“Yes.”

“What of Tie-Grabber’s?”

“He recounted Clawshot’s complaints that Nebula was, and quote, ‘fawning over that lost cause.’ However, even if true for Nebula, Tie-Grabber found it unlikely to be returned by Railgun.” Sheller answers like he was quoting scripture.

“And Machbreaker’s?”

“He was uncertain. Nebula’s actions were possibly just playful and to get underneath Railgun’s armor. Railgun didn’t seem to give any return.”

“If a romanticist like him his uncertain, it’s a good chance they are an item.”

“Machbreaker failed to notice the situation between Maximus and Axis.”

Coverfire’s hand slips from his chin and slams on the table.

“That’s not fair! You know their schedule prevented him from seeing the two enough to pick the clues. It’s not his fault.” Coverfire’s tone was growing annoyed.

“Railgun’s account held no indication.”

Hands filled Coverfire’s face before he looked back up.

“Of course he wouldn’t mention it! With the state he was in, he couldn’t see it even if it was there!” Coverfire pauses, collecting himself.

"Yes, they were free from Rectifier’s control sooner than us. But no group to sort it out like us. They didn’t have Veloxrail. They didn’t have all the other Mini-Cons we helped that tried to sort our issues in turn. There was only so much they could do alone.

But," Coverfire raised a finger, ready to give his ace in the hole. “It was hard to fully hide it from Scuttle. Both Tie-Grabber and Machbreaker’s reports mention noticing something weird when that form chatted with Nebula.”

“Memory fragments from combiners aren’t trustworthy.” Sheller deadpans.

Coverfire faceplants into the table. Sheller blinks at him.

“That was a joke.” Sheller says and Coverfire looks up at him. “…Mostly.”

Coverfire sighs. “Alright then, here comes the list of things on this very trip you should have noticed…”

“Y’know, oi probably wouldn’t mind some toim offa tha Convoy. Oi wonda if tha commanda might let me join you lot.”
Treadquake mused to himself.

“You’re telling me. Its the dead that’s been giving us all our problems.”
Tailpipe replied in an almost snarky tone.

“Hopefully.”
One predacon said.

“If you guys really think you can take on Megatron, well… Lets just say I hope you make it.”
Said the other.

Nebula happily enjoyed her rations. She did pause for a moment when Railgun asked his question.
“Oh yeah. I remember I used to love rock carving back in the day. Out in space when we were clearing debris away from space stations and whatnot, I used to take some of the smaller chunks with me. Then I’d carve them into little statues. It was pretty fun, but I haven’t been able to try it in the longest time.”

Nebula replied. She seemed rather pleased reminiscing over her old hobby.

“Well, what do you do here? Watch the weapons?” Darksting said. “And what would Dirtboss think?”

“Could always use help in that, but I’d guess your boss wouldn’t want you to.”

Timberjack messes up and sinks the cue ball again.

“But I think that will do it for me. Thanks for letting play.” Timberjack says and then heads for the barracks to call it for the night.

A thought flashes upon hearing she was into carving, but quickly dies. The only outward indication being what sounded like a exhale between a bite of Energon. No point in bringing it up, Ice Scrapper’s long dead.

“Any figures you particularly liked to carve?” He asks.

“Aside from the obvious of Megatron’s revival, I do not fully understand that sentiment.” Angel says.

“Oi do more than wotch 'em. I manage tha whole armory. Keep track’a who has wot, repair any weapons that get busted. It’s a lotta work, and a lotta responsibility. Not too sure if Dirtboss would let me walk away.”
Treadquake replied.

“I never did one bot more than once. But I remember there was one I did of Vector Prime that I was really proud of.”
Nebula said enthusiastically.

“It’s nothing but the obvious. Megatron’s ruined everything. A dead decepticon resurrected a dead faction, and now we’re all gonna be dead because of it.”
Tailpipe replied.

“Hmmm. I guess you could ask her, but I doubt she’d let you. I don’t even know if we’ll succeed anyway.” Darksting replied to the Predacon.

“Vector Prime? If you did all those cogs, couldn’t have been easy.” Railgun sounds quite surprised by this.

“Enough.” Sheller says.

“You sure? Didn’t seemed convinced.” Coverfire shrugs.

“Need processing time.”

“Fine, fine. It is a lot all at once. What did you want to do around here anyways?”

Sheller looks around and if there’s an empty pool table, he heads for that.

“Maybe. Though oi’d have a little more confidance in maself if oi were you.”

“Oh you have no idea. I had to make him twice as big as all the ones I did before so I could fit in all the details. It took me weeks to finish… I wonder whatever happened to it.”

After Timberjack had left, the other two predacons had departed as well. Leaving the table open for the two minicons.

“We aren’t going to be dead; Ancients wrote that while unstable and unpredictable, one raised from the dead could often be weaker than they were in life but the rest of the notes were decayed on how exactly to get the upper hand.” Angel said, “but, given we didn’t have a zombie apocalypse, I’m pretty sure they had a way to deal with reanimated monsters.”

Darksting laughed.
“Well these are Decepticons we’re talking about, but safety in numbers I suppose. I guess we have survived this long in the Sea of Rust, so what’s a few old war bots?”

“I guess… we’ll find out then?” She asked with a confused awkward smile. This girl was being way too friendly with a stranger.

“Maybe the bulks liked it enough to put it in a museum.” Railgun says half-jokingly. After some more bites in silence, a different question comes to his mind.

“What are your own goals for the future?”

Sheller and Coverfire climb up the pool table and Sheller starts arranging the balls. He does his best to make the Mini-Con emblem out of them, placing the cue ball at one end. Coverfire then strikes the cue ball, attempting to knock as many balls that he can into the holes in one go. This repeats for a bit, with Sheller trying to make more creative designs and shapes that would make Coverfire’s efforts to wipe them out more difficult.

“You make it sound like its easy. But this is no shambling terrorcon. As far as it look, this is the decepticon tyrant. Spark and all. He took over Cybertron in just a few days.”
Tailpipe explained.

“Yeah. That’s how oi’d look at it. Wouldn’t say it’ll be easy, but I sure can’t be impossible.”

“I suppose so.”
Hoverbug said as she walked into the empty room.

“If I’m being honest, I don’t really have any. I’m more one to live in the moment. Taking things as they come, and never really worrying about the future.”
Nebula explained.

“Well if it was impossible, we’d already be dead. And the Sea can kill us all by itself.” Darksting said.

Railgun mentally slaps himself in the back of the head. He should have known that was the answer. Clearly, he hadn’t learned anything from what she’s been telling him so far.

“Suppose it’s more…exciting that way.” He pauses. “What would you like to do in this moment?” Railgun asks.

“Yeah.”
Treadquake replied. It seemed he didn’t have much else to say.

“Spending time with you is definitely nice. And I’m also looking forward to busting some decepticon heads. But aside from that I’m just watching to see how things play out as they go.”

“Alright then. Thanks for the conversation, I’m gonna head down to the barracks to figure out the situation down there.” Darksting said, turning to leave.

“Well, I didn’t say it was that, but he still likely isn’t all there, if my research on the Ancients is accurate.” Angel says.

“The point is that I’m confident Megatron is beatable and that’s pretty strong cause for hope, in my book.” He adds.

“And if we’re going to be busting heads, we should probably get some rest for the night.” Railgun says, having already finished his rations by now.

Provided Nebula agrees, Railgun will collect a few more rations to give to Sheller and Coverfire. He heads to the rec room with her, finding the duo having grown bored of their various games. Though they do spot them first before the couple could call them.

“There they are! And they come with snacks?!” Coverfire says jumping down. “See Sheller, an improvement already.”

Upon seeing that Railgun didn’t appreciate that joke, he shuts up and takes his rations happily. Sheller comes down and gives a quiet thanks, taking his rations. The two quickly scarf down the Energon as the group makes their way back for barracks and night’s rest.
