There’s Kitai, controlled by @MakutaOisli. He’s in Kaon right now. And there’s also Headbite (controlled by @keiththelegokid) and Roaster (controlled by @ajtazt), both of whom just took a space bridge over to Hecate. All the other active PCs are in Iacon, I believe.
this new bot seems quite interesting.
well if you can find a way to make Conjoint’s face meet the floor it will continue a running trend
Ah, a half-finished bot that thinks himself a god? I smell some theological conflict in the future.
Axis, knocking on the door to Liege’s little island house.
“Liege get out here! We need you!”
“Go away. Just want to be left alone.”
“This is your call to adventure Liege. You can’t run from it!”
Our worlds Cybertron and all its colonies are in mortal danger yet again
Daybreak:

You said it yourself: the woman needed a break dag-nabbit.
Well that went nowhere close to the conceptual plan, but between all the bird struck plane crashes and the agreed limited use, suppose that will have to do. So in the meantime, I’ll give some extra details that might help in writing Sandbag. Tossing it into a dropdown not for spoilers, but to not bore anyone and make scrolling through easier.
Madman Rambles at Clouds Again
The main thing to note is that I will extrapolate and expand upon everything. This is why my personality sections for characters are often small and only have one, maybe a handful, of key characteristics. Because I don’t need much to further explore and discover how they’ll react and think with just those few. If you need a sample and comparison for this, just looking between Railgun’s two profiles should be enough.
I bring this all up because you decided to say this when describing Hecate, “Hecatians treat cold construction as an almost sacred form of art…”
Based on everything I’ve seen, your use of the word sacred appears to have meant it was just held in high regard. A well respected craft rather than a highly religious thing. For Roaster, since she’s from Hecate, I decided to expound upon the religious aspect. They are dealing with literal souls and space magic, why wouldn’t it be a very religious practice?
The description also implies that only those from Hecate view it that way. There appears to be some discrimination against those cold constructed. Perhaps those who think of it as a lesser creation called it cold as part of that reason and invented “Hot Spot” as the name for wells to enforce that view. So what would Roaster think of this? Well she’s from Hecate, so high chance she views cold construction highly. And taking this the religious route, the name comes off as insulting and misleading.
Then adding onto the religion aspects, if the sparks are believed to be pieces of Primus and protected in chambers, why not view the body as a temple? Each Cybertronian has their own little Ark of the Covenant and piece of god inside, with their shell adorning around it. And I’m sure you get the general ideas from there.
But if all Hecatians are built, who was responsible for building Roaster? Did she learn the religious aspects from them? How about her craft of cold construction? What is their relationship like? What is the relationship like between the built and those who constructed them? Is Roaster friends or on good terms with any of the bots who were also constructed by the same person? So many questions, very few guidelines.
So I answered plenty of that with Sandbag. An old wise mentor type, with the ferociousness of a competitive artisan yet the humbleness of a deeply religious man that credits all his works to his ultimate creator. Someone that is a very traditional or conservative fellow to some because of his faith, yet also a breaker of many other standard conventions. A father figure that deeply cares for and watches all those he helped build, but tries not to meddle too much and allow them to make their own decisions. Jolly but stern, builds sand sculptures and castles, likes to mine his own materials for cold construction, etc.
Conceptual, Roaster is pretty much the Prodigal Son in this relationship. She was growing arrogant, thought she new better, and left for her own ways. Only to be wrack with ruin in the madness of sinful Hollywood. Returning to dear old dad after finally coming back to some sense. Though unlike the son in the parable, she never wished or thought of Sandbag as being dead to her. She holds having been his apprentice in high regard, it was just an unfortunate falling out.
There isn’t any discrimination against cold construction or those who are made from it- none that is noteworthy, anyway. The name comes from the fact that the bodies are made first without a spark- the bodies are “cold” until they’re given life. Hot Spots are thus named the way they are because they’re full of sparks waiting to be put into their bodies. The terminology was never meant to be derogatory- heck, the early Hecatians were probably the ones who came up with it.
Already five steps ahead.
You know I guess I never realized how terrifyingly morbid the concept of a mech would be to a Cybertronian.
Well when you describe them as lifeless corpse puppets, of course they’d sound freaky.
It’s like the Gingerbread Man in a Gingerbread House all over again
Look, Cybertronians getting increasingly confused by the idea of a mech is my favorite gag right now, it’s great.
It’d be like talking to a rat, and the rat says
“Oh yeah, we artificially created a human cadaver, and sit in its insides to move it around.”
idk, I think it isn’t quite that bad. at least in reality; Nova definitely made it sound that bad
There is a bit of a difference between what a robot/machine is and what a cybertronian is, at least to my understanding. There’s a bit more going on there. But, like, Cybertronians still use vehicles and stuff, they understand the point of using machines. So it’s more like if we chatted with a rat and found out they used bones and sinew to make a mecha shaped like a person, if even that. Still a little unsettling, but not too bad.
and now it’s time to carefully skirt around the fact that I have no idea how most Cybertronians are actually created and move on with the plot
and also forget that double posting is a sin
So less uncanny homunculus, and more hollowed out Frankenstein’s monster.
kinda? I don’t think there’s a good comparison for it for humans, since doing anything with a human body but burying it or burning it is pretty taboo. More like if an Ent saw someone else driving around in a wooden contraption, I’d think.
Much like dwarves, they come out of holes in the ground.
This universe follows Aligned rules here: most cybertronians come out of pits called Wells, which are filled with Primus’s life-force.
okay, so basically what I had in my head.
