From the shores of Trecedim’s seas, Optimus Prime gives Axis an astral-projected thumbs-up of approval.
Probably should ask permission before I attempt to use this character outside of a flashback. At this time, I don’t intend them to be a member of the larger party or for a live appearance later, just here for a scene in Hecate. I suppose a story NPC controlled by myself would best describe my intention.
Please let me know if this is okay or if I should pursue some other alternative. Again, I don’t plan on making a habit out of this, so this should be the only one.
Sandbag
Name: Sandbag
Homeworld: Hecate
Subtype: Multi-component/Mitotic
Appearance: Sandbag is most peculiar looking, having a strong resemblance to Sandbot with some Quickmix elements. Some even claim he bears resemblance to Optimus Prime himself, but Sandbag always brushes off these comments silly ideas as he’s far too deformed looking. Though appreciates the thought that he would be so blessed as to have a passing resemblance.
His body/torso is almost entirely composed of a silver beach pail, with a red faux semi-truck like front covering the chest. Sandbag’s squat head is red, somewhat cab-like, with yellow eyes and covering the top of the bucket. His short red and grey legs are from his truck form, with portions of the cab making the feet. Arms are largely composed of blue beach tools, with a rake as his right arm and a shovel as his left.
Alt-mode: Sandbag’s alternate mode is a collection of a beach and sand toys. Primarily being a mixer truck, with the sand pail serving as the mixing drum, carrying several of the other tools on his sides. The cab of the truck is primarily red, with its bed being a grey, the mixing drum being silver, and the rest of the gear being blue. See the reference pics above to get an idea of the vehicle.
Weapons: “In the hands of Captain America, that shield is a weapon.”–Nick Fury
In essence, Sandbag’s primary weapons and tools are himself. He can use his rake to slash enemies, give a hefty smackdown with a large shovel, dig out and toss large chunks of the ground with his scoop, etc. Though should things get really dire, he has a simple Energon handgun.
Equipment: Aside from the tools that compose his body, Sandbag has a number of tools for building, repairing, and altering Cybertronians. Often carries spare first aid and medical supplies.
Abilities/powers: Somewhere between multi-component and Weaponizer, Sandbag’s spark resides in each tool and piece that composes his form. He can cause himself to fall apart and have each tool operate on their own. In this state some pieces/tools, such as the rake, have limited levitation to move around.
Bio: An anomaly, Hecate has no records of Sandbag’s creation. Most believe he was created by accident and that a spark fell into a pile of discarded tools. Sandbag, however, believes his creation to be purposeful and that Primus wouldn’t allow a spark to accept a body not capable of containing it. Perhaps to prove he was not a mistake, Sandbag has worked hard throughout the millenniums to show that he is Primus’s greatest tool in cold construction.
Listening to Primus’ guidance, Sandbag has constructed many bodies that received sparks. Whereas he awoke alone, abandoned, and seemingly unwanted by his fellow Cybertronians, Sandbag ensures he is always there when the brothers/sisters he helped build finally come to life. Always there to be a guiding hand and teacher of cold construction, should they accept his help. A father figure to many and tries to keep in contact with all he helped construct, but will let them go on their own path as they choose.
At some point, Sandbag had constructed Roaster and taught her everything she knows about cold construction. Though the old bot hasn’t heard from her since their little scuffle over the faith and Primus’ will.
Would it be alright if I played Sandbag? Other players have NPCs attached to their characters too- like Hotfoot for Snowblind- and I’ve been managing them so far.
I might need to know a little more about Roaster’s backstory so that I can play everything accurately/faithfully, of course. If there’s anything more I might need to know about her, Sandbag, or anyone/thing else, feel free to PM me when you find the time.
For this particular scene and the pacing to work, I would much prefer if Sandbag was in my control. However, I would be fine if you controlled him after the scene on Hecate. I imagine it will clarify more for both Sandbag and Roaster as characters when it’s written up and posted.
Okay. Sandbag looks okay to me, so you can go right on ahead.
So would right now be the best time to introduce a character?
really the only question before I post my bomb Character signup
Personally I’d say now would be a good time to jump in, seeing as we’re about to go find the plot about to move the story forward.
Mind you I’m not exactly the most major authority here, but he’s asleep right now so I figured I’d give my two cents.
Name: Stopgap
Homeworld: Cybertron (assumed)
Appearance: Stopgap is incomplete, That much is clear from a simple glance. Exposed pistons, wires dangling from his Body, his armor a mismatch of Autobot and Decepticon, the missing arm. The vibrant Green glow that shines from his chest suggests a power that someone such as himself can only hope to contain.
Eh here’s the best thing I could think of that’s similar to what I have in my head, I’ll take a crack at drawing it sometime soon.
Alt-mode(s): none (missing T-Cog)
Weapons: integrated arm Cannon (nonfunctional due to Missing T-Cog) Small Eneregon pistol
Equipment: jagged metal pole used to assist in walking
Abilities/powers: Point-one-percenter, this would’ve allowed him to unleash bolts of energy directly from his hand, unfortunately utilizing the power contained within his spark would ultimately kill Stopgap in his current state
Bio: Stopgap doesn’t know who he was before the experiments, nor does he seem to care. All Stopgap knows is that he must repair himself
He must Survive
Stopgap wasn’t created as a point-one-percenter. The amalgamation’s original name was Crash-Course, a Decepticon loyalist who, after failing on several missions, practically jumped at the opportunity to partake in an experiment with the promise of becoming a super-soldier.
Then there was the second spark, A power so strong that it couldn’t be wasted on the husk of the being formerly known as Vibrancy, No her spark needed to be preserved. Wasting it would be such a foolish endeavor, don’t you think? But how would they make use of a spark so rare and powerful?
The failure, of course. Combine the two sparks in such a rhythmic harmony that the two become the same being, essentially upgrading Crash-Course into something beyond a mere Decepticon.
He Would Be A God.
It was to be his destiny
it was…
Unfortunately for crash-course and the seven other scientists in the building at the time the experiment went horribly wrong. Eye witness accounts say that they saw a green light emanate from the building before it went up in flames, the only thing that was determined to have survived the explosion was the body of the Late Decepticon, Crash-Course although, even his body was heavily damaged.
Of course, Crash-course and vibrancy were now both dead, left in their stead was the Amalgamation, Stopgap.
Personality: Due to the circumstances of his creation Stopgap is Extremely narcissistic, His only important memory is the last thing the scientist told him: “you will be a god.” And a god he believes himself to be. He often demeans others as he believes they are lower life forms compared to himself. There is no rhyme to his reason However, within his spark is a tiny flame, a remnant from his time as vibrancy; A desire to help people. for what else would their god do, but assist his subjects and maintain order?
Is this the character you plan to suicide first thing
Perhaps
have him meet up with Conjoint, he has a canon death wish
I feel like him and Axis (the current Prime) would have some very interesting conversations. Both wanting the same basic things, but having very different ways of thinking about it.
Stopgap looks great to me! He’s accepted.
I am curious though: the Great War ended more than twenty million years ago in this universe. Where has Stopgap been and what has he been up to in all that time?
d-did you panel line with a pencil?
Out and about rebuilding himself I assume as his appearance is so much more different than what crash course used to look like.
I also assume that he was in stasis for quite a bit as well.
I don’t remember
So here’s what you do.
First, you take an eraser.
Next, you try and erase the panel lining on the white horn things.
Then, if it goes away, you know that it’s pencil.
Finally, you reapply the panel lining with a light grey maker.
Okay. I was just curious.
So can someone give me a recap of what’s happened in this rp so far?
Sure thing!
After a good five thousand years of peace, terrorists attacked the Hall of Records in Iacon and tried to steal the journal of Sentinel Prime. The PCs stopped the terrorists, and have found that the journal has encrypted information on its drives. A riddle in the journal’s final entry suggests that the information can be deciphered at the Tomb of the Primes, so most of the PCs are going there now.
The terrorists were a random assortment of thieves and killers brought together by a mysterious employer. Also, some of the PCs saw a strange-looking human man wandering around the Hall of Records just before the attack. It is unknown if this man is connected to the attack but let’s be real here he probably is.
Is there anything else you’d like to know?
Which pcs aren’t with the tomb of the primes group?
