Transformers TLK Decepticon MoCs 3: Barricade and Dreadbot

Sorry this took a bit longer than expected. I didn’t really get to finish Dreadbot until today. Anyways, I’m not going to waste any time getting into these.

Starting off with Barricade, this went way better than I thought. I didn’t know how I wanted to do the hood chest, and I only had five dark blue shells to work with. Anyways, I ended up finishing it using only four, and I even managed to work in the weapons attaching to his hips! I’d say the only thing I don’t really like is the “wheels”. They aren’t attached to his shoulders, and their literally just gears. Anyways, other than that, I’d say he turned out really well!

And now for the last Decepticon I’m doing for this group: Dreadbot. Honestly, this probably could have worked better as a standalone MoC. I used a few neat techniques, and I do like how it looks, but I couldn’t really find a good reference image for him. I did make sure to give him a few of his iconic designs (i.e, the Christmas lights on his right arm and his blue “wings” on his shoulders), but I’m not sure if it looks enough like him. I did give him some asymmetrical colour layout to show his rust, but I feel like he just should have been silver, but I didn’t have any silver shells (save for the one on his arm). I also feel the head design doesn’t work as well on him as it did on Berserker. Anyways, at the end of the day, I do think it’s a good MoC, it’s just not Dreadbot enough.

Anyways, that raps up this little project. In the end, I am very happy with how all these turned out, and I’m looking forward to doing more! Thank you everyone for checking these out and letting me know what you guys think! I greatly appreciate it!

I already did Ntiro (he’s in the back right of the group photo). I do plan on doing Megatron, but I’ll need to take apart these figures so I can have enough pieces.

Ok. Can’t wait!
