Transformers: Tournament of Terror. RP Topic

Simulus continues his slowed pace to the giant, moving not too fast as to avoid hologram flickering. That was always the problem with cloaking, move too much and someone might be able to spot you. But since it appeared to be working, as long as he could get under the giant without an issue, then it should go fine.

If Simulus can get that close to the giant, he attempts to go underneath and get a better look at the leg supports. If the legs don’t extend high enough for this, he tries to at least be close to see the leg structure.

Backbreaker lunges out of the way as quickly as he can.

Oddball stands up and deploys his gear shredder. He looks up at Maximus and offers a shrug- this was the best he had.

Simulus would be able to comfortably stand beneath the giant. It’s four legs connected to the body via some very dense and heavy duty joints. The structure didn’t look as durable as the rest of these behemoths proved to be, but disabling these appendages still wouldn’t be easy.

While Backbreaker was distracted, Iota made his move. He vanished in what appeared to be a purple haze, and re-appeared right behind the autobot. Itoa then thrusted his lance at his back.

“Primus above! When the hell did you get that? They’ve been outlawed longer than I’ve been alive. I’ve always wanted to try one though. Lockjaw has one, but he never lets me use it.”
Maximus’ ramblings were cut short when he heard the loud crash of the giant’s fist striking Fafnir. The dragon tumbled over on the ground, and staggered back to its feet. Not horribly damaged, but clearly disoriented.

“Right! Gotta focus. I want you to get on my back, and I’ll fly you up and give you a better vantage point to shoot at it. Sound good?”

Executing program . . . Dismantle

Simulus lets out Overclock and RAM, raising them up so they can grab onto the machine. Preferably any portion that looked as they they could potentially get inside. Though failing that, at least somewhere they can hang and get a closer look as to what’s keeping the joints together.

If it’s something they can take pull or bash apart, they attempt that. Though should that fail, Overclock starts taking RAM’s missiles and placing the explosives onto the weakest sections of the joints. Using holomatter provided by Simulus to strap it in place.

There was no obvious or easy way to disassemble the limbs. Though the explosives were attached without incident.

Backbreaker howls as the lance pierces the armor beneath his left shoulder. He lunges forward, trying to dislodge the weapon.

Oddball nods enthusiastically, revving the gear shredder and charging up an energy disk between its prongs.

Once all the limbs have plenty of explosives strapped to him, Overclock and RAM go back inside Simulus. He then lets out Busdrive and walks a supposedly safe distance away while cloaked. Busdrive unleashes his barrage of missiles, having them spread out to strike all four spots to detonate them all at once. The bus races out from underneath the giant as he launches the missiles to get out of the blast himself.

The lance comes out of his back. Iota motions his weapon again, and the Behemoth launches another fist at Backbreaker.

“Alright! Let’s go!”
Once Oddball was on Maximus’ back he took off. The predacon flew up and above the behemoth. The giant fired its face laser at Maximus. The crimson beam trailing right behind him.

“Feel free to fire whenever you want!”

The missiles detonate, resulting in a massive explosion. The legs falter, and the giant comes crashing down. While the physical damage was minimal, it would take time for the machine to get back up.

Busdrive races straight for Simulus, who was now running towards the giant. The cloak drops once Busdrive gets close enough, who seemingly jumps and transforms into his disc mode, being reinserted back inside Simulus. The trickster moves as quick as he can to get to the base of the machine while it’s distract and tries to climb up it. His main goal currently would be to get up onto the back of the torso section.

Backbreaker raises his shield, and when the fist comes down he is knocked off his feet and onto the ground.

Oddball launches the disk within his gear shredder at one of the behemoth’s legs.

The impact of the colossal fist would send Backbreaker skidding back a considerable distance, if not tumbling end over end on the ground.

Iota once again teleported behind Backbreaker and lunged with his lance.

The spinning blades manage to cut into the Behemoth’s leg, leaving a deep gash. Sparks of electricity sprayed out from the wound as severed wires zapped and fizzled.

The giant stumbled and the leg buckled. It fell down, but kept upright. With one leg disabled, it appeared to immobile.

“Good work! Looks like we can take these things on after all.”

The giant raises a hand and tried to grab Maximus out of the sky. Its fingers bruising against his tail.

“Keep it up! If we keep careful I bet we can finish this thing off!”

Simulus would successfully climb on to the giant, but just as it was able to regain its footing. Leaving the trickster clinging to the behemoth’s back.

Simulus climbs up until he’s at the upper back, about the lower end of one’s shoulder blades. He then looks around, trying to see which of the other giants was closest. The one dealing with Maximus, Oddball, and the other giant would already be too distracted for the job and probably too far away. There was the one by Backbreaker and the fourth presumably dealing with Grimlock. Whichever of those two looked close enough and easy to grab their attention, he fires his optical lasers at their head.

Simulus would have also used his rifle, but that would make too much noise. He rather the war machine he’s riding not notice he’s there, he just hopes the laser is enough. Should it do what he wants, he prepares to stop firing, give himself a shielding layer of hardlight, and hope gravity will make him fall fast enough when he drops.

If between the giants the one with Grimlock and the one with Backbreaker are determined to be of equal opportunity, he fires the laser at the one with Backbreaker.

Backbreaker is thrown onto his back and slides across the ground. When Iota teleports to land another strike, Backbreaker- lying prone- would be able to raise his badly-dented shield to deflect the lace.

Oddball charged up another disk, and launched it at another one of the behemoth’s legs.

The fifth giant was walking over to join the first in fighting Grimlock, making it the closest possible target.

The optical lasers do nothing to damage it, but do grab it’s attention. The behemoth turned to face Simulus and walked towards him. It raised its arm and prepared to launch a pile driver punch.

The lance clashed with the shield, causing Iota to stagger. He then raised his free hand upward, his palm out. A circular purple glyph manifested in front of his hand, just like at Steeljaw’s execution.

“Are you ready to submit?”
He asked.

Another leg is gashed and disabled. The behemoth tried to stand back up, but it failed and fell back down. It was immobilized but still upright, and still a threat.

He continues to fire the laser for a few more seconds before stopping. Once he thinks it’s in range, he just barely holds on and lets go to fall the moment it looks like the fist will launch. With any luck, he’ll avoid the fist and his ride will take a good beating.

In one swift motion, Backbreaker rolls over and transforms into his beast mode. He spins around and tries to slap Iota with his tail.

Oddball decides to try something else: charging up another disk, he aims up at the behemoth’s head and launches the wheel of energy at the giant’s face.

The disks dig into the glass faceplate and crack it severely. It tried to fire another laser blast, but the light fizzled out before it could fully charge.

“Way to go!”
Maximus cheered.

Iota tried to block with his shield, but was still knocked down flat on his back. He looked at Backbreaker, trembling. But then he was noticeably looking past him, as something was happening above the battle field…

The plan goes off successfully. The behemoth is struck square in the back by one of its own. Sending it falling down at great speed. The impact with the ground shattering its face.

Suddenly the sky above is torn open with the thunderous clash of a transwarp gate. A distinctly Cybertronian shuttle comes racing through, bearing a striking insignia on each wing.

The shuttle comes careening down and strikes one of of the behemoths in the head. The one Simulus managed to trick into striking the other.

The giant’s head is destroyed, and the body collapses. The now flaming shuttle crashes into the ground. Moments later two predacons step out of the burning wreckage.

“Well, not my worst landing.”
Said the taller orange one.

“I wouldn’t call it a good landing either.”
Replied the shorter brown one.

Maximus noticed the shuttle coming down, and immidietly forgot about the giant he was fighting, as well as the passenger on his back.
“Guys!”
He shouted excitedly. He bolted down, crashing head first into the taller of the two predacons. Sending him flat on his back.

“Torchwing! Bluntforce! I missed you guys so much!”

“Little buddy!”
Torchwing said, completely unfazed by the impact.
“Thank Primus you’re alright! You have no idea how worried we’ve been.”

“As touching as this reunion is, I think we have some pretty big problems to deal with.”
Bluntforce said, as all of the four remaining behemoths trained their focus on the predacons.

Simulus lands with a small roll as the giant falls. As he gets up, he creates a hardlight shield when suddenly the ship appears and smashes into the war machine. Confused for a brief moment, any movement from his giant getting back up regains his focus.

“Big? Problem? I think you mean a fun exercise in destruction!” Simulus shouts.

The shield vanishes, quickly getting close again and starts trying to slice through one of the machine’s legs with his Energon longsword. Specially in the area already damaged from the explosives.

Backbreaker spares a glance at the new arrivals’ dramatic entrance, then turns back to Iota. He grimaces behind his battle mask, mostly from the pain of the hole in his back.

“Looks like tonight is not your night, pal,” he says to the gamesmaster.

Oddball whoops, and pumps his fist. When Torchwing and Bluntforce make their entrance, he looks down curiously at the new arrivals.

The sword would cut into the leg a little bit, but get stuck a short way in. Each leg was almost as big around as himself, so simply cutting them off would be impractical at best.

Two of the four giants ready a laser blast. The three predacons quickly transform into beast mode and fly up, just as the burning beams struck the ground.

“I say it’s time we go big! Finish off whatever these are as ruthlessly as possible.”
Torchwing said as the three of them looked down at the battle below. Only for his attention to be completely diverted at the sight of a certain dinobot.
“Wait a slaggin second. Is that Grimlock?”

“Focus.”
Bluntforce said.

“Yeah yeah”

“So, we doin Ragnarok?”
Maximus asked eagerly.

“Hell yeah! Lets show these alien spawns of glitches who their dealing with!”
The three predacons ascended higher, flying in a circular pattern, and then quickly coming in together. The three collided, combining into one.

This new giant fell from the sky, and crashed into the ground. Standing just a little shorter than the behemoths, he loomed over the battle field.

This new challenger stood at the center of attention, cracking his knuckles.
“Hoo boy. Haven’t had to use this in a long time. So, let’s get started.”
