Transformers: Twilight of the Golden Age Part II

“You know the way,” complies Ironclad as he follows.

“Ugh. How much longer. I’m getting bored.”
Axis said.

“Quiet! Little bird complain to much.”

“You be quiet! Bird is family!”

“Both you too loud.”

Darkstorm nods and tells the others to follow him.

Firestorm noticed reality, more his perception, flicker randomly between the ship and a world that was rather colorful one; the only thing he could pull from it was a sense of peace and calm before it shifted back to the ship.

“It’s behaving rather strangely,” responds Liege Maximo, explaining how the talisman was now in a constant “half-dormant” state.

“Keep an eye on it.” Seraphicon said as he nodded. “Let’s hope we can reach Rhisling before the Heralds do.”

Darkstorm does his best to lead the group to the Eye Wall.

Our heroes soon enter the “eye” of the relativistic storm, and things seemed to calm ever so slightly. The landscape seemed to curve and whorl around what appeared to be an amalgamation of over a hundred colony ships sprouting out of each other. In the center of the bizarre structure was a cavern, in which one might faintly see the sword Rhisling hovering and exuding an aura of green light:

Standing between our heroes and their prize were the heralds of Unicron and a force of Terrorcons. They had not been spared from the effects of the nexus’ instability, and as a result two Ramjets could be seen: one from our universe, and the other mostly blue and white and exuding a crimson aura of energy. Eight minicons stand at their feet.

Infernocus had changed significantly. The brute was even taller now, with a wide, brawny figure and an energy sword and shield.

Megabolt was unchanged.

Nemesis Prime, however, was something out of a nightmare.

The false Prime’s chest had been blown open, revealing the core of the dead Matrix as its’ “eye” glares with a intense violet glow. Purple flames curl off Nemesis Prime’s black armor, and jagged shards of Dark Energon erupt from the metal all over his body. Glowing, chaotic glyphs adorn his defiled body; huge gaping wounds blemish his armor, leaking steady streams of Dark Energon. Much of the inner workings of his right arm (which held a Dark Star Saber that was positively engulfed in violet flame and dark energies) were exposed, and his faceplate had been torn off to reveal the insectoid mandibles underneath. The outer covering of his right eye had also ruptured, and the naked optic glows with the piercing light of Dark Energon.

With a rasping laugh he staggers forward, brandishing the Dark Star Saber.

“Here. We. Are,” he slowly proclaims, his voice dripping with malice. “At the end of the rope, at last. But I have no intention to hang today, oh no. Our little game ends here, and at last I will rid myself of you thorns, and take my rightful place on the throne of godhood!”

“Huh. Your big bad has a thing for long, wordy spiels too, eh?” AU Bootleg observes.

“Uh-huh. Must be required trait for megalomaniacs,” our Bootleg replies.

Cargo roars the battery to his gun.

Coalburn roars. HIs children (now counting ten) roar along with him, creating a chorus.

Rotary and Crate ready their respective weapons. “We can take ‘em on, easy!” Crate optimizes.

Hauler spins his propeller, posing in a defensive stance.

Zipline pets his net gun. “Anyone else feeling a little hungry?”

“Oh please. How many times have I heard that before?”
Axis snarked.

The beast immediately charged for Infurnicus, causing Axis to fall backwards off his shoulder.

“So many Terrorcons, Heralds and minions.” Darkstorm said with a smile as he readied his arsenal (which consists of, but not limited to, grenades, mortars, missiles, his sword, arm cannon and Hyperflux pistol he…“acquired” from the Bellator of his universe) “This is going on my bill for sure.” He grinned as his cannon was fully primed and ready for war.

“All I see before us are puppets and pawns with a god complex.” Seraphicon said as he brought out the Star Saber and swung it with all his might to carve a path through the Terrorcons.

Axis muttered a series of swears and expletives after she was thrown off. She then applied the Apex Armor and readied for battle.

Infernocus slashes the air with his sword and responds with a booming, guttural roar. The brute charges the beast.

“Ooh, looks like things are kicking off already,” Ramjet eagerly observes.

“Aw, that’s a shame,” reacts AU Ramjet. “I was hoping to partake in precisely two minutes and forty-nine seconds of banter before I had to go kill everyone.”

“Yeah, me too,” sympathizes our Ramjet.

AU Ramjet’s eyes widen. “Really!?” he inquires, ecstatic. “Wow, you and I are so much alike!”

“I know; crazy, right?” cackles our Ramjet. “What’re the odds?”

Liege Maximo hangs back, trying desperately to force the half-dormant Matrix open. Ironclad and the Bootlegs charge as Beta Maxx transforms to weapon mode.

The resulting arc of energy cuts through a few Terrorcons, causing the rest of the undead horde to charge at our heroes.

“Secure Rhisling.” Seraphicon ordered as he charged the army.

Darkstorm lobbed a mortar ahead of the Angelicon to help clear the path. “Did you know it costs twelve thousand shanix to fire this weapon for twelve seconds?” He asked as he set his cannon to rapid fire and let loose on the zombies.

The beast winds up a punch and, and threw it, using the combined force of his strength and momentum, aiming right for the face.

“Right!” comes the barking response of Ironclad as he makes a break for the sword, cutting his way through Terrorcons.

A clump of terrocons charging directly at Seraphicon are blown to bits.

Many a terrorcon is cut down, however AU Ramjet materializes behind Darkstorm and fires his shoulder cannons.

“Hey, I killed a fella just like you back in my 'verse!” he cackles gleefully. “Now I get to relive the moment all over again! How fun!”

The fist meets Infernocus’ shield, and the brute thrusts his burning sword at the midsection of his adversary.

The beast tried to grab the sword by the flat sides of the blade and pull it from his adversary’s hands.

Infernocus maintains a firm grip on the blade as he draws his other arm back, before snapping it forward in attempt to bash the Maximus gestalt with the edge of the shield.

OOC: here’s the music for the little tussle going on right now. Sorry for not posting it earlier. Enjoy, everyone!

Darkstorm chuckles as he got hit, the shots grazing him, his arms flailing a little as he fell.

“I’m afraid I’m gonna have to disappoint you.” He said as a grenade went off at AU Ramjet’s feet followed up with a shot from his Hyperflux pistol.

Seraphicon keeps trying to carve his way through the Terrorcons, taking flight at points to gain some ground.

OOC: weirdly enough, this is making me eager for the Battle of 1000 Heartless in KH 2.

The transdimensional fusion took the blow. He looked to the brutish herald with a snarling maw. He then reached to grab his opponent by the horn.

“Yeah!” Crate cheers. “That’s how I like ‘em!” He fires his rifle at the oncomers.

Hauler charges in, flying low while using his propellers to cut at Terrorcons.

Zip and Cargo take turns firing at the undead warriors, with Tax shouting encouraging phrases for every one they take down. “Yeah!” “That’s how you do it!” “Stay dead this time!”

Coalburn plows into the Terrorcons, his children cheering on their father.

AU Ramjet is subsequently blown apart. As his body reforms, his version of his minicons rush forward, peppering Darkstorm with a variety of Dark Energon-based munition.

Megabolt takes aim with his main cannon and attempts to blast Seraphicon out of the sky.

Ultimate Maximus succeeds in grabbing hold of one of Infernocus’ horns, however the demonic gestalt takes this opportunity to thrust his sword at his opponent’s chest. Infernocus’ body is hot to the touch as tongues of flame begin to curl of his back and shoulders.

Many a Terrorcon is cut down.

Our Ramjet and his minicons set their sights on Cargo and Zip.

The terrorcons claw and slash at Coalburn. In his organic state, he was especially vulnerable.

Sensing the Matrix’s presence, Nemesis Prime roars and makes a mad dash for Liege Maximo.
