I trust that the people participating in this will not take this path, as the Boards in general have had a good track record of avoiding the use of generative AI so far, but it would still be a good addition to the rules, just in case
I consider AI generated content to be along the same lines as not personalizing your gift to its recipient. I am also an excellent judge of whether or not there is effort put in - lazy, unpersonalized gifts have been rejected by me in the past.
However, I do not think I will outright ban the use of AI. I know, I know, Ghid is evil the devil spawn of hell itself satan child, but I want to leave the option for someone to actually use AI in a creative and personalized fashion that actually takes effort to contribute to the process of creating a gift for someone.
That being said, I am going to outright ban the usage of AI image generation or manipulation, because after all the time that it has existed and advanced, I have not seen a single usage or theoretical usage that is a benefit and not a hindrance to the creative process. Also because I hate AI art just about as much as you do.
So for those who might be considering using AI to make their gifts, you know the reputation AI carries. I will be EXTREMELY critical of your work if you do utilize it in any capacity, and I will disqualify any AI-generated images being submitted as gifts or utilized in the gift in any way.
Be ye warned. Also yes I know the Santa is AI but you must understand, I am a hypocrite and also evil
