Welcome all, to the next iteration of the TTV Message Boards classic, TTV Secret Santa 2024. It’s time once again to get assigned someone you have no idea how to make a gift for and get someone assigned to you who runs out of time in the last week. 
For those who don’t know how this works, here’s the rundown:
I make a topic. The one you’re reading right now, actually.
You, being someone who wishes to participate in this, reply to the topic saying you would like to participate in this. I then add your name to a list of people participating in this.
On November 1st, 2024, I will send you a PM with the name of the user you are tasked with creating a gift for. Personalize it - try to match the recipient’s interests as much as you can. A MOC or drawing are the most common, but in the past we’ve had a plushy and a short story, so anything that you can put time and effort into making it the best possible gift for your recipient.
You will have until December 31st, 2024 at 11:59 PM to finish your gift.
Then, PM me the gift you have created. Do not send the gift yourself. That takes all the fun out of it being a Secret Santa, y’know?
Once the date hits January 2nd, 2025, you’re free to post the gift you made to the Boards, if you so desire. One day of secrecy is all I require of you, and after that you are free to reveal to the world which artist it was that made such a stunning gift.
Some other rules to keep in mind:
- If you sign up, you are promising you can do this. However, sometimes life just happens. If you find yourself truly unable to participate, please try to PM me sooner rather than later to give me extra time to compensate.
- Whatever you make must be personalized to the user. This can be as simple as being related to a topic the recipient is interested in - a video game, movie, song, or even a specific Bionicle character - but a generic gift with no attachment will be disqualified.
- Do not send your gift directly. I know I’ve said this already, but if you PM your recipient the gift directly, and I find out about it, you will not be getting a gift. We’ve got to keep the Secret in Secret Santa, after all.
- Do not mail your gift. This is entirely digital; your gift must be either seen or read. If you create a moc and want the other person to be able to build it, you can create instructions.
- Try not to buy anything for anyone. I can understand wanting to gift someone a digital game, and if you know the person you are gifting, you’re welcome to. However, I would advise against doing so as part of this Secret Santa, as to avoid the precedent of purchases being the standard, and in order to keep things secret.

As I have done in the past, I will try to cover for anyone who drops out, but no guarantees. Unfortunately I am poor and therefore require time to actually think of something
