It’s that time of year again, folks. Time to get assigned someone you have no idea how to make a gift for and get someone assigned to you who runs out of time in the last week. Only this time, things are gonna be different.
I’m joking. This’ll be the exact same as all the other times.
For those who don’t know how this works, here’s a rundown:

If you sign up, you are promising you can do this. However, sometimes life just happens. If you find yourself truly unable to participate, please try to PM me sooner rather than later to give me extra time to compensate.
Whatever you make must be personalized to the user. This can be as simple as being related to a topic the recipient is interested in - a video game, movie, song, or even a specific Bionicle character - but a generic gift with no attachment will be disqualified.
Do not send your gift directly. I know I’ve said this already, but if you PM your recipient the gift directly, and I find out about it, you will not be getting a gift. We’ve got to keep the Secret in Secret Santa, after all.
Do not mail your gift. This is entirely digital; your gift must be either seen or read. If you create a moc and want the other person to be able to build it, you can create instructions.
Try not to buy anything for anyone. I can understand wanting to gift someone a digital game, and if you know the person you are gifting, you’re welcome to. However, I would advise against doing so as part of this Secret Santa, as to avoid the precedent of purchases being the standard, and in order to keep things secret.

NEW ADDITION: In the past I have been hesitant about labeling AI-generated gifts that don’t rely on image generation to be at the minimum not outright banned, because analytic AI tends to be very useful and the advancements in that fields are not nearly as soulless and career-destroying as generative AI tends to be. However, I’ve decided that if there is an advancement in the future which actually proves useful, I can amend the rules at that point to allow for it.
Until such time, however, using AI in your gift is strictly against the rules. Involving AI in any capacity will get you booted from the Secret Santa, so don’t do it.
As I have done in the past, I will try to cover for anyone who drops out, but no guarantees. Unfortunately I am poor and therefore require time to actually think of something

We’ve currently got nine people, which is certainly good but it could always be better. If you know someone on the site who you think would enjoy participating, reach out and see if there’s any interest.

It’s going to be a bit smaller of a turnout this year, but that just means we’ll have to work extra hard to make these gifts as good as they can possibly be. The PMs with your recipient shall be sent shortly - it’s gift making time!
