Though like any mystery stories I get the feeling this will divide fans a bit, given fans will be expecting Eljay’s face to be some great mystery. Part of the allure of the online persona is the fact he remains unseen - remove that and the intrigue drops. Will Eljay still have the same hype when the mask is removed. The death of the persona is a worrying time.

The idea and mystery of Eljay may be more sustaining to fans than the truth. Think along the lines of V for Vendetta OR even Batman, if he revealed who he was he’d become just a man and the symbol is lost forever…
