Turaga Ta, the Storyteller

On a summer afternoon, a group of Matoran and their guardian, Collerak, the Toa Karhi of Air, sit beside Turaga Ta and listen to old legends of mighty Toa.

I made this piece because I was in a BIONICLE mood and wanted to keep drawing my design, as well as test my shading abilities. I’m quite happy with how it turned out, to be honest. I think I’ll stick with this design.

Indeed, it is quite a sharp and imposing mask.

Turaga Ta’s mask reminds me of general grievous just a bit…

But it looks great! One thing I noticed is that the green toa in the background arm’s look sorta weird with his arms crossed. I think it’s mainly because the hands are exposed when normally they are hidden behind the arms.

I’m actually quite surprised that I can’t recall seeing you do BIONICLE drawings. I think your art style lends itself well to the aesthetic.

I also like the mask design for Ta. Reminds me of a mix between Onua’s adaptive Pakari and the Mask of Control.

Very nice. It puts me in a Bionicle mood as well.

Nah, that was Dume.

You might be onto something there though.

:gregf: Would it be canon?

Though a story where Teridax is confined to a turaga’s body would be intresting.

Nah most of this stuff takes place in an alternate universe, but it has a ton of similarities to the OG Bionicle universe.
