Tuyet - Deranged Guardian (Community Fanon Contest #1)

Entry Photo

Hello everyone! Finally back for another contest. This is my entry for DuckBricks’ Community Fanon Contest #1.
I’m a bit late to the party, even though I had already built it months ago.

I started out with a more traditional Metru build, more in line with Lhikan’s appearance, but I wasn’t really satisfied with the result. So I decided to opt for the more armored look of the Hagah and built some bulkier pauldrons. I tried Lehvak-Kal’s shield as chest armor because I found that the line pattern fit well with the other details of the build, but there was too much empty space at the center. At this point I tried using regular Lehvak’s shield to keep the line pattern, but now the problem became the asymmetry. After some other attempts, I decided to embrace it and double down on it, making all of her armor asymmetrical. So I added armor to her right forearm and replaced her left upper arm with the slimmer one I had made for Nidhiki.

now that’s a broadsword

Uh the moc looks pretty good, asymmetry is always nice.

that sword is so overbuilt and I love it.
now I wanna see a slightly upscaled tuyet weilding that so it dosent look slightly goofy with how big it is

Her arms seem a little too long for her body and that sword… Great Spirit. I’ve nothing against Mocs with big weapons, but you kinda need a big moc to go with it, and a fairly basic metru build just doesn’t seem like it could realistically wield such a thing, (even with that extra friction doohickey) but then again, didn’t Greg say something like " Real world physics don’t apply in BIONICLE, unless scientists discovered Protodermis yesterday and i didn’t hear about it."?

As I wrote, the sword should be sized more like Jaller’s Power Blade and the Inika weapons. The built one is absolutely too big (it’s so long that if you put it vertically beside her it’s quite a bit taller than her) and too thick, it’s just how I imagined it to look, and built it without thinking too much about the size.
The drawing below the images of the sword is a more accurate representation.

This image shoud be a roughly accurate size comparison between the built version and the ideal one that I couldn’t put in the model due to my lack of knowledge in 3D modeling

Personally I think the giant sword is an interesting and refreshing but maybe that’s just me. Cloud Strife pulls the look off well enough

Anyway, cool moc. As Eukah said, the asymmetry is neato

I like how you incorporated other asymmetrical elements to mirror the levahk shield. The sword looks pretty heavy and oversized for this moc though.

Someone model the sword. Now.
