Once stuck in the form of a monstrous bat, Vamprah joined Teridax as he escaped the awakening Mata Nui. The two of them made it to a dark moon, where they found the remains of a great battle between beings like themselves in construction. Taking two of the bodies for use as armor, they left to find forces to help retake Mata Nui.
Upon his arrival to Earth, Vamprah was amazed to find that the armor could change form much more easily than any the Makuta had designed. He took the alt-mode of a U-2 spy plane to scout for Teridax.
