It’s been so long since I’ve made a flippin’ post here that I’m somewhat terrified I’ll do it totally wrong. If you’ll pardon my inactivity, I do at least have a MOC to show you. http://i.imgur.com/FeDhOcB.jpg
Vraievel. She’s the daughter of my former self-MOC who you OG’s may remember as [Wreax][1]. My current self-MOC, [Archer][2], put a curse on him which eventually killed him. She’s here to find out why, and depending on his answers, probably avenge her dear father. http://i.imgur.com/CFNB1cL.jpg
[Credit for her gauntlet’s goes to Flickr’s 0nuku, from his spectacular Virse.][3]
I thought it’d be better to link to other stuff than muck up the wall of this post. So here you go, the daughter of a Toa of Plasma, and an enemy if not archrival of my self-MOC. Don’t misunderstand, though, she’s not a badguy or antagonist or even anti-hero, albeit she is a bad-[REDACTED].
I wanted to go for a rough-chick type of look with her, like her hair was a ponytail of dreadlocks or something similar. Is that a real thing? I don’t even know if it’d make sense. What’d you call that, a dread-pony?
It looks amazing! the contrast of Orange and Blue look beautiful.
And what I like the most is that she has a femenine look without using shivers Rooadka breast plates.
Had no idea you were on here, Gabe. I mean, the hair isn’t gravity-defying. I didn’t invent a real-life Halo 3 Gravlift to take the pictures =P

The fingers are placeholder, I’m order a few extra parts to touch her up in the near future, but it’s minor enough to where I’m comfortable posting her. Thanks for your words and critique, they go a long way in making future versions.
Got to say I really, really like this one. Her proportions are top notch and as others have said she doesn’t fall into any of the general “Fe-MOC” tropes that usually plague them. The CCBS paw part as the chest does introduce a couple of points on each side that don’t look quite right. Ideally you’d want the piece modified so there weren’t those two projections on the right and left sides. Or somehow carry the piece’s shape and colour up and over the shoulders, perhaps with these and these? A tiny detail, but eh.
Really liking the stripe from Commander Cody on the leg. Don’t think the orange spikes fit at all though. They’re a cool concept but since they don’t sit flush with the legs they look kinda tacked on and the smooth look you’ve got going on would make her look better without them. Really like the lower leg design. How did you attach these?
Love it. The colors blend together very nicely. The build makes her look like an athletic female, so that’s a plus.
I usually dislike hairs, but hey, at least you handled them in a good way.
Also, the orange spike on her upper leg looks out of place, but other than that it’s a great Moc.
Hah! She does look like Chell, really. Although her inspirations came from Deoxys from Pokemon.
Thank you!
I get you, the spikes aren’t great.
Thanks?
Yeah, I’m definitely going to have to fix the chest area. Chests and torsos are my albatross, generally, and this MOC is no exception.
I wanted the spike to look like a strap of a thigh-brace, but that effect mustn’t have come through well. I attached the thighs like this, but they’re rather delicate. It’s annoying how they fall off, even if they don’t limit articulation.
Finally a good use of the Noble Akaku! It’s a really nice mask but is woefully underused. Good example of a clearly female but not sexy MoC, as well! That colour scheme seems… familiar…
While certainly interesting, I’ve never seen it before. If I’d stolen a colorshceme - which is so abstract a thing you can’t even steal it to begin with - I’d admit to it.
