A titanic combiner, Warthunder is one of the greatest Decepticon threats, even receiving the honor of being actively tracked by SHIELD at one point. Unlike most Decepticons, he has a high regard for humans, especially those who possess supernatural abilities. He first arrived on Earth during the events surrounding Ultron’s construction, during which the Avengers and other superheroes came to the notice of the Transformers. At the time, his constituent Decepticons took a variety of vehicle forms, with two of them choosing known military vehicles in order to establish good relationships with Russia on behalf of the Decepticons. The other three, a Headmaster, and two normal Decepticons, took other Earth modes. They were last spotted during the final battle against Thanos, where they used a space bridge to capture a Chitauri cruiser and bring it in range of a Decepticon base on Earth’s moon. They were last seen leading a group to Mars, presumably to establish a new base.
Warthunder is wanted by the Autobots and the United States for several war crimes, including illegal human experiments where he attempted to recreate several persons enhanced by Hydra. The results, while satisfactory to Megatron, managed to break containment, as they did not get the expected abilities.
