Webkinz is a browser-based pet simulation game released in 2005. You’d buy the stuffed animals and get that pet in-game. Accounts used to auto-delete if you didn’t buy a pet for a certain amount of time, but most old accounts are “archived” now, and you can request them to un-archive it for you. Go try yours out!

If you haven’t bought a pet in a year, you lose “membership”, locking store items and games. Furthermore, you can buy “Deluxe Membership” Which grants you access to everything. It’s better than having your account automatically deleted, right?

I named a lot of my Webkinz after characters from Cars for some reason, Lightning, Mader, Ramone, The King, etc. One of them is also named after me. :stuck_out_tongue: I named one of them my own last name, so I had to blur that out. Grey Ghost is named after a Speed Racer character, and he apparently lives in the attic. “Weird bathroom” “Boring room” “Tis the Season” “ATLANTIS” “The Legendary”(I’m pretty sure that was supposed to be the legendary bedroom). I was really something back then. :stuck_out_tongue:

I started playing in 2006 It’s been 10 years oh my god before dropping out in 2008ish. In 2011 I played around with it and got hooked yet again for a year or two. The game is just getting worse in my opinion - They removed Doctor Quack, your pets can’t get sick (that’s how I learned responsibility way back when. Dogs can’t live off of cake. :stuck_out_tongue: ) and Deluxe Membership is really annoying, but let’s focus on the good.

I’m gonna go to the matches factory and wash out my eyes with lighter fluid now.

I’ve heard of the game before, but I never really played it. It just didn’t suit my fancy I guess.

Whitey was my Koala. I named him that because he had a white spot on his chest.

I could’ve just given him another uninspired Cars name and called it a day, but nooo… :stuck_out_tongue:

I got a few of the plushes way back when, played the game for a bit, too. Not much, unfortunately. Like any self-respecting eight year old, I forgot my password.

I used to play Webkinz a bunch in 2007 and 2008, and owned some of the plushes; I remember really liking this one of a snake.

I recently had to get rid of some of mine. It was a sad day not really, since i probably wouldn’t have really thought of them otherwise

Indeed, while I was a young child that did not yet have purpose for his life and spent life looking for ways to waste time, I wasted some of that time on Webkinz.

Named most of mine after ancient kings btw.

I remember the days when I used to play Webkinz…
I think I stopped around the time they ended Deluxe Memberships.
