I’ve just recently gotten kind of into Dragonball. I wanted to see if I could draw Goku like a comic book character.

The hardest part was figuring out how shading works when someone is literally glowing. Long story short, I didn’t. Oh right, I also studied how to draw muscles a lot right before this. This drawing is really just one big test, to be honest.

There’s a thousand and one different jokes I could make, as I’m a huge fan of DBZ Abridged, bun instead I will just complement the art.

I think this looks great. You’ve definitely succeeded in the comic book look you were going for.
