Hi guys, what sets that are currently in stores would you recommend (as bionicle fans)? Which ones are the closest to Bionicle?
i would say the enternals artemis shadow (i spelt dat wrong) or the iron man buildable figure!
There’s nothing that close to Bionicle since Lego has kinda phased out the constraction sets. However, I would say your best bet is Ninjago (people here tend to hate on Ninjago’s story, but the sets are pretty cool). They use the traditional system Lego pieces, rather than the technic/ccbs pieces that Bionicle used, but they have some pretty cool mechs. There are some in the same $10-$20 price range as Bionicle, but they’ll be smaller than a similarly priced Bionicle set because they use smaller pieces:

And some are significanly bigger but also significanly more expensive:

Ninjago also has some buildable dragons, which a Bionicle fan might enjoy.
The Monkey Kid theme some more of the same type of sets as Ninjago. Lego Marvel also has some mechs and buildable creatures. For example, this Iron Man figure:
Or if you’re looking for something cheap, there’s a series of $10 sets that each comes with a minifgure plus a small mech of that character:
New Zurg set looks very Bionicle.
Technically not in stores yet though.
Zurg has a purple scaled down Piraka head, the Vespa scooter has a light gray dino tail tip piece like Tarix. The gold minifig ring from the shang chi set looks like one of the gold tubing ribs from Brutaka, and the gold 2x2 round tile w/ pin hole from the Encanto storybooks and the gold life ring from Monkie Kid are basically the same piece only scaled up. The red saddle from Mulan’s horse is shaped kinda like Tahu’s upper body. Any one of these pieces is close to bionicle.
Likus, you scare me.
Nah these are just basic strategies.
If these are basic, then extraordinary would not be comprehensible to us mortals.
