I’m making this topic after a conversation with one of my friends. We were talking about cryptids, and my friend said Mothman was “A silly goober”, a statement that I somewhat agree with. So that brings the question: what do you find cute that others find terrifying?
For me, it’s The Bloop. He just looks really derpy and I want to give him a hug.
I have a similar creature to yours, the eel from Super Mario 64. I’ve seen lots of people say that it’s absolutely terrifying but come on, he’s just such a silly little guy 
And while I’ve never seen anyone besides him say that, one of my friends finds the Lego Family/Homemaker figures genuinely creepy. I love them dearly.

The Ichthyosaur from Half-Life. It just looks silly to me (yes it’s a giant aquatic dinosaur(?)).
A lot of people are apparently afraid of Jupiter’s size and vastness. For some reason the big round planet endears me.
