What if the Slizers were Toa?

What if the Slizers were all Toa?

I had an idea, randomly, to remake all of the Slizers as Toa. There was clearly some crossover, as each Slizer had an element, as do the Toa, and I decided to use the Toa Mata build, as it’s my favourite and also seems to share more visual design principles with the Slizer.

The Toa Slizer were a Toa Team that were accidentally left behind on Bara Magna when the Great Spirit Robot took off. To pass the time during their abandoment, they joined the Glatorians in their warrior games. Then, the Great Cataclysm occurred, and debris from the Great Spirit Robot crashed on their arena, killing one half of the team. Soon, some new, mutated Toa weilding Dark Nuva Kanohi appeared to hunt down the surviving Toa Slizer. Only with the help of Elmano, who emerged from the wreckage did they stand a chance

Tokur, Toa of Fire
Based on Fire Slizer, or Torch Throwbot.

Sudran, Toa of Water
Based on Sub Slizer, or Scuba Throwbot.

Isko, Toa of Ice
Based on Ice Slizer, or Ski Throwbot.

Turiko, Toa of Sonics
Based on City Slizer, or Turbo Throwbot.

Juturua, Toa of Psionics
Based on Judge Slizer, or Jet Throwbot.

Amenauk, Toa of Plantlife
Based on Jungle Slizer, or Amazon Throwbot.

Gohom, Toa of Stone
Based on Granite Slizer, or Rock Throwbot.

Elkana, Toa of Lightning
Based on Energy Slizer, or Electro Throwbot.

Elmano, Toa of Iron
Based on Millenium Slizer, or Millenia Throwbot.

Bawhara, Toa of Plasma
Based on Blaster Slizer.

Fahure, Toa of Fire
Based on Flare Slizer.

Sekepua, Toa of Lightning
Based on Spark Slizer.

Bonus
Elmano in his Alternate build. Using his Iron Elemental powers, he disassembles his motorscycle and incorporates it into his armor, and reassembles it when needed.

The original 8 Toa Slizer often sparred with one another on Bara Magna.

The new Toa appeared to ruthlessly hunt down the surviving Toa on Bara Magna.

This was a fun project, and I’d like to maybe take a crack at making the Roboriders into Toa Mata as well, too.

This is a neat concept! I like how faithful to the original Slizers/throwbots you kept them, but different enough to give them that 2001 Bionicle feel.

Is it possible to make the Slizer combiner models out of these Toa mocs?

In an alternate universe when turaga sent Toa to Karzahni for rebuilding…

In all seriously these are amazing! You kept them very faithful to their original (albeit wacky) design and the backstory you gave them is very believable. Well done!

Great job recreating spot Toa that still have the slizer feel to them :+1:.

This is a really awesome take on the Slizers becoming Toa. Say what software did you use to design these?

Very cool concept, I especially like Elkana.
You did a good job of blending the two together on that one.

These are nice. Having adapted some of the Slizers into Mata builds myself, it’s interesting seeing what ideas converged and how they differ, since my focus was on the general idea rather than direct adaptations. I’m especially impressed by Turiko–why didn’t I think of that foot design for my own version??

Pohatu Torso plus Onus Neck is a cool combination. I can’t believe I’ve never seen someone do that before just for fun.

Heck, I’m surprised I’ve never tried it myself.

Most of them work well but
Tokur should have a red pakari

Isko should have a white blue mask

Jungle would work better with the teal Huna (turaga vakama’s mask)
or teal version of mask from the 2008 matoran radiak
it has sharp whisker edges
Blaster should have a yellow hau nuva.

Flare could use a orange makuta kraahkan. That mask has sharp edges which are good for a flier.
