What is the situation like with Bionicle fan groups in your countries?

As the title suggests.

We all know about Bionicle Maskposting, Bionicle Realposting, Spherus Reddit, the BIOsector01 Discord, or communities built around people who run YouTube channels dedicated to Bionicle, such as WombatCombat or Ben Cossy. These are all global, English-speaking groups.

But what about more local groups? I’m especially curious about the situation in Europe. How many Facebook/Discord groups do you have in your country? How are they doing? Are they active, or are they dying out? Are new ones being created?

As far as I know, Europe, especially the countries of Eastern and Northeastern Europe, where post-apo and dark fantasy themes are particularly popular, can boast some of the largest Bionicle fandoms in the world. I know that Hungary, Finland, Slovakia, Poland, and the Czech Republic are among the leaders. However, I don’t really know what the state of the fandom is like in individual countries, and I’m curious to hear what the local situation is like.

Really? I’ve never heard of any Bionicle groups out of those countries. I’d be very curious to know what those groups are like.

I know of Bionifigs, a French group that’s been around for quite a while, but not enough about them as I am not a French speaker.

I can say that Germany doesn’t really have much. There’s Chronist Wiki (basically the German version of BS01, pretty sure they’re officially partnered) but it doesn’t get much activity anymore. There’s also Wiki Nui on Fandom, like the English Bionicle wiki on Fandom it’s pretty much just trying (and failing) to be BS01.
Chronist Wiki also has a forum but that one doesn’t seem very active either, we’re talking like one post every month…

Mind you I’ve never actually interacted with any of these ventures, this is just what I’ve heard over the years (and my search right now didn’t really show more). Obviously there might still be smaller, more private groups I’m not aware of, but these are all the dedicated ones I can find. Some general German Lego fansites and forums (such as Promobricks and 1000Steine) very rarely get a Bionicle post, but it usually never catches on (those sites mainly cater to classic Lego fans who say that Bionicle isn’t real Lego).

Bionicle was definitely insanely popular here during its run, but it seems like most fans are scattered throughout different (English speaking) communities.

Locally?

A passerby smiled at my Bionicle tee. I was happy one recognized Bionicle. (Or, maybe they presumed the tee advertised a graphic for a band, but nonetheless, I dream.)

I had never even heard of Bionicle before I joined the boards.

I’ve encountered individual Bionicle fans here over the years occasionally, but to my knowledge, in Romania there has never been any dedicated online Romanian-speaking Bionicle community. The LEGO AFOL community in general is quite small here though so I don’t think that should be surprising.

Slovene here: don’t know of any Bionicle fan club but I’ve met a not insignificant number of Bionicle fans. I wouldn’t be surprised if existing Slovenian LEGO fan clubs had some members that are also Bionicle fans. With the toys plus localised films and some Promo CDs, I’d wager there is a sizable hidden community.

There was also a BZPower member who I know posted translations of chapters from Bionicle: Chronicles on her blog but I can’t seem to find it. :confused:
