A simple topic, share your most played game (or games) and if you feel like it, tell how many hours you have in it.
My most played game is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, with roughly 375 hours. TF2 is a close second with about 350 hours.
Games like Minecraft and Roblox are probably up there too, but I’ve played those games on too many different platforms to know much time I have in them.
I couldn’t begin to guess what my most played game is. I don’t play as much as I used to of anything, and I’ve never been that big into pc gaming, but there’s a solitaire game on the DS that’s been eating up a lot of my time when I’m out and about.
I can’t tell if this is indicative of me being on a supervillain arc or not
Checking my and my family’s Nintendo accounts reveals the following:
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – ~245 hours
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – ~155 hours
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – ~255 hours collectively with my brother, so probably at least 150 hours
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – ~95 hours
Mario Kart World – ~90 hours collectively with my family, so probably 60-75 hours
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment – ~60 hours
There’s probably a few mobile games that I’ve played for huge time amounts, like Jurassic World: The Game and LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed (before it shut down), but my devices don’t track those. Which is probably for the best…
What’s weird is that I’ve barely played Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Breath of the Wild since 2023, and I only got them in 2021…
None of my consoles or devices record time, but off the top of my head it’s probably these:
Mario Kart Wii, I haven’t been playing this much in the last two or three years but it was my absolute favorite before that. It was also my first video game and for a few years the only video game we had.
Tetris if you count different versions across different platforms, if not the NES version alone should already be up there.
I don’t want to know the time I spent on Roblox, especially four to five years ago when I played it most. I still spend too much time on there, with Last Letter being my top game lately.
While probably not enough to make this list, I’ve also spent an abhorrent amount of time on Snake and Minesweeper.
To be fair it should be even longer than this because I do save conversions into Europa Universalis 4 and Victoria 3, so some of these games go on for several days of playing a single nation across multiple games in alternate history.
My Switch 2 (which I carried over the save data from my original Switch to) says the results are as follows:
Tears of the Kingdom, 405 hours
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, 245 hours
Pokemon Scarlet, 150 hours (plus another 30 in Violet)
Minecraft Dungeons & Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, tied at 125 hours
I’ll have to check my Steam account later, but I think Hollow Knight and Spore would probably top the list there. The Minecraft launcher doesn’t track time played, but I’ve spent about 1100 in-game days on just one of my worlds over the course of a few years. Unfortunately, I think my ongoing Tears of the Kingdom obsession is preventing me from playing around seven other games I still need to finish, but that’s neither here nor there.
The vast majority of my gaming was on devices that I can’t reference playtime on.
But I’m fairly confident that it’s currently Overwatch with 2,304 hours, and Minecraft in 2nd.
I use the Prism launcher and it says I have 216 total hours. I haven’t had it for that long, so I assume that’s my playtime for my account, but I’m not sure.
World of Warcraft: 1990 hours on my two most played characters (out of ~50); I’ve been milking the free trial for a decade and still nowhere near ready to buy it
Halo MCC: 474 hours (a little bit of everything, but slightly more ODST and 4)
Halo Infinite: 440 hours
Gary’s Mod: 331 hours
Ace of Spades (a long-deceased block shooter): 269 hours
I have a ton of time in Minecraft, and Lego Battles, but those are split among too many worlds/accounts/save files/destroyed cartridges to tell.
Probably the original Star Wars Battlefront II for the PS2. I don’t have it anymore so I can’t check the hours. Destiny (the first one) on the PS3 probably comes close. As a collective franchise, definitely Pokémon.
