It’s pretty much all in the title. Do you prefer to collect your Bionicle sets, or do you quickly scrap them for parts to add to your moccing collection? I personally try to keep them together for a couple months, but then I have an idea for a moc that needs certain new pieces or colors, so I scrap sets en masse.
I use to like Moc’ing, but the plastic just got so cheap and broke easily. So now a’days I just have them on display/in canisters. I’m still working on rebuilding some that are just scattered about in a box of random Bionicle pieces.
both, which is frustrating whhen I create an awesome MOC, and then decide to rebuild sets and find a vital part is in aMOC
i’m a collector but i’m also moccing sometimes
would realy love to MOC but i just suck at it and right now i am collecting every set.
Well the best ways to get better at something, especially moccing, is to practice and have others review your work.
If you have any mocs you can show them off and I will give any tips and advice that I can.
@Risebell While you may disagree, I think that using the HF system equivalents has really helped my moccing. I also tend to mix in a good amount of HF system in to my mocs.
Edited for double post- Star
I’m mainly a collector, but I make MOCs here and there. What MOCs I do make and use Bionicle pieces for I try to keep to a minimum (and keep a list of sets that I disassemble). So there are a specific few sets that I have put aside to keep track.
Yeah, when I first got into bionicle I had that infamous struggle between my desire for the sets and my desire to create and customize.
I’m primarily a Collector, although I make the occasional Constraction MOC, most of my MOCs are System based, of which I have a lot, I could post them if you wanted.
Yeah, I tend to focus on constraction, although I use system occasionally.
I’m both collector and moccist because I don’t take my BIONICLE sets apart anymore. xD
I’m definitely more of a collector, I’m not very creative when it comes to making new and innovative builds.
Pure collector here!
I never made a moc!
I just use system for mocing ,but i treat bionicle like high collectible action figures
I’m a bit of both.
Cool. I really like the variety of fans here.
In the case of HF sets, they are never built. Their boxes are opened, then they are thrown into the bins of specific colors, then pulled out as needed.
However, with the possibility of me getting a hold of all the Toa Mata (FOR FREE, by the way) I might have to keep them on display for eternity.
Ok I’ll bite. how are you going to get them free?
My friend has them, and he never uses his Bonkles. My Birthday is the 20th. I want all the things, mang.
Yeah, with HF I keep them together for a few weeks, until I get tired of seeing 'em.
I get tired of seeing them after I look at the box. The parts are useful, though.
