What am I doing? the old man thought to himself. I’m doing a ton of things. I’m sweeping the floor, breathing, pumping blood through my body. I’m doing more work that you millennial freeloaders. I break my back, blister my hands, crack my joints to keep this house clean. What am I doing? I’m living the American dream, making a paycheck by working. Day by day this is what I have to live with. The scoffing of these young people. One day they’ll see what it is like. One day…
