My question is about where Velika lived as a Matoran before he was sent to Karzahni. We know that all of the Matoran of Voya Nui were cast-offs from Karzahni, and that at least some of the Matoran were originally from the village that Toa Lesovikk defended, the one whose Turaga went mad and shipped all of its Matoran to Karzahni.

Did Velika come from this village?

If Velika was from Lesovikk’s village, could there be a connection between the fact that Velika was the source of the “AI awakening” and the fact that the Turaga was mentally unstable?

Finally, the BIONICLE Encyclopedia says that Lesovikk’s Toa team was originally stationed on “one of the southernmost islands.” Was the Matoran village located on this same island, or was it in a different location?
Based on this old quote, it’s not clear to me whether the village is on the island or not. I think it could be interpreted either way.

During the battle, Lesovikk hesitated for a fatal split second. As a result, the zylglak gained the upper hand and killed all of the other members of the team. Only Lesovikk escaped. Returning to his home village to warn them of the impending danger, he found that the local Turaga had gone mad and shipped the entire Matoran population to the realm of Karzahni.
