Bionicle got a lot of flak back in the day, for being “not real lego” as well. The issue is compounded with Galidor, however, where most of the pieces serve one specific purpose and that’s it. Look at Bionicle, how the Mata heads were the Nui-Jaga’s arms, their feet were a bull’s head, their masks were generic and worn by a dozen Matoran. Then look at Galidor, where only a handful of pieces ever got reused, and even then it was for the same purpose.
I myself dont hate galidor. Some of the pieces are cool but it doesn’t really seem like anything I could get into.
