…Y’know, I bet there are crazy things that have actually happened to people on the Boards. Real stories and sequences of events that sound completely fictitious, but really happened to them. They can be happy, sad, funny, or so bizarre they extend well beyond the pale.
But they must be true. And if you would have the audacity to lie about yourself on the internet, I’ll find out. I will know. Trust me.
All Boards rules apply. If what really happened to you isn’t Boards-appropriate, you have my condolences that it occurred, even if you are unable to share it.
Oh yeah and since there’s fifteen billion off-topic category topics, this one might already exist somewhere even if I couldn’t find it. If it does, just flag this one and ask the mods to merge them. Thanks in advance
You know, this one time i made an account on this obscure site, it was called the ttv message boards…
Okay but seriously, i have a lot of ridiculous stories. Here’s a recent one:
The other day i was breakdancing on the floor at work. My boss was talking, and stopped to look at me in confusion. My coworker told tim “it’s okay, she has safety glasses on.” And my boss was like “oh, okay” and went back to his conversation.
This is not taken out of context. There is no context that makes this make sense. My workplace is just that insane.
I am almost certain I encountered someone who was demon possessed or other supernatural power.
Went to turn in some books I rented for college at a post office. This man in sunglasses and who looked unkempt began following me to my brother’s car and outside of the post office. I got a very strange vibe from him, like a cold shiver down the spine which I do not normally get from weird people. He did not appear to drive.
We went down the road where I thought I lost him, but going 50 miles an hour on the road, 2 miles away, as we hit a stop light right before we turn into a Fred Meyer’s parking lot, the same man is there, staring at me on the sidewalk. Somehow he travelled faster than anyone possible. As we walked toward the entrance of the store, he was somehow there, at the doors of the store where I did not see him before, having walked quite a quick distance, faster than our car did. As if he was somehow teleporting.
It’s either this guy was a hidden Olympic athlete who could run faster than Usain Bolt, or something odder was going on. I am convinced it was supernatural powers at play. I gave a quick prayer while in the store, as I was getting quite terrified. Did not see him again.
So today i went outside and found a pair of my underwear nailed to the roof of the barn. It was faded from the sun, meaning it was there for a while before i noticed it.
I went into my room today and saw my parents lift my bed so the top faced the ceiling and almost bumped into it and then pushed it back to the place it belonged
Well, certainly not flashy, but I opened an old VHS, aligned the tape and fixed one of the bottom springs that seems to have loosened with age. (Nearly 30 years of use will do that to you, naturally.)
My copy of Lion King II is now safe and sound once more.
Well, I suppose I would recommend VHS for older animated films due to the removal of detail in Blu-Ray “remasters” that ruin the color palette too (In some cases, live-action films also suffer from needless color-grading changes…).
Now to find my copy of Jack Frost 98 in preparation for the holiday season.
Apparently it it possible if you have a metal frame that is attached to those two teeth and slides into place behind the other teeth.
It was actually freaky; looking at him, you’d never guess his teeth were abnormal. It doesn’t look like braces, or a retainer, nothing is visible until he takes them out. Apparently they got knocked out at some point, so this is what he did to not look like a vagrant to customers.
