Will reinstalling LDD erase all my current files?

I found out that there’s a new update, but my LDD hasn’t updated yet (maybe because I’m on Windows XP), but I heard that if you reinstall the program it will come in updated. However, I’m not sure if reinstalling it will erase my current models.

Because LDD won’t work on Ubuntu.

It shouldn’t. They’re not stored in LDD. Make a backup just in case.

So I’ll still be able to open the files in the new version? Will they be stored in the files?
