You Cannot Destroy Me, For I am Nothing...

My entry for the 2018 BioCup preliminaries - Makuta, as he appears in the 2001 Mata Nui Online Game.

I honestly have no idea how this is going to be received, but my thought process went something like this:
“Hey, elements, that’s a really broad category. Shadow’s an element. Y’know, destruction is an element, hey isn’t it weird how Lego pieces are officially called ‘elements’?”
Thus, the swirling mess of thoughts in my head turned into the swirling mess of parts that Makuta appeared as, representing elements as the mass of Lego elements, the element of destruction that Makuta embodied in 2001, and the element of Shadow that Makuta came to be known with.

Hopefully people like it.

The mass of swirling Lego elements

The white background is true to the game, but the red is more menacing.

Here the Kraahkan can be seen tucked in the back, to honour later forms of Makuta.

The piece is a bit of a mess, but I’m happy with it.

Super cool, but not enough black or parts.

See if you can spot the pulled apart Tohunga form in there too

I deliberately tried to incoporate some grey as well as the brown tubing, to reflect the mottled colours of MNOG Makuta

I love it. Great work!

I’ve always wanted to see something like this done. Even tried to do it myself. This is amazing. I love it. It’s everything I could’ve hoped for.

This is great. The creativity of the Moc is great, as is the thought process behind it.

Isn’t that the point?
Looks great, although a bit more pieces in the center would’ve been better in my opinion.

I suppose that is the point, yeah :stuck_out_tongue:

The only difficulty with adding more pieces int he centre is mounting them, since almost everything just dangles off the flex tube

It’s quite unorthodox… I like it!
