So, I was going through some of my very old stuff again and found certain … works of “art”, that are just so hilarious to look at for me, that I simply need to share them.
They’re definately not especially eye-catching, but … just look at them anyways, for they’re so bad, they’re actually funny at times
And, to expand this topic a little: What were your first Bionicle drawings?
Starting off:
Bohrok from 2002 by 5/6 year old me. The picture is a little faded, because it hung on a cupboard for over a decade, and the spelling of the names is horrible, but yes, this is the oldest Bionicle drawing I remember and still have.
Next:
Toa evolution from late 2002 by 6 year old me. When the Toa Nuva were released, it didn’t take a genius to think “What if they evolve again? Like Pokemon?” In the end that even was, what happened (Phantoka/Mistika)
So I did these. But probably I ran out of patience before I could do Onua. Although Onua probably is the lucky one because of that …
No, I don’t know, why Tahu 3 is wearing a Kakama. Seriously.
Yes, Pohatu 3 looks pretty stupid. But it will get worse, believe me. That horrible thing in blue was added some time later. It was supposed to be a guitar, if I remember correctly, but it looks more like a disfigured fish or something, I guess.
Kopaka is the only one, where version 3 looks like something (at least the mask). Kopaka Nuva’s weapons are attached the wrong way around to his hand, though. Also his legs look a little unhealthy.
Congratulations. If you read this, you’ve survived looking at what I did to Lewa. I somehow forgot to add a full axeblade to Mata’s weapon, Nuva is … just bad, and … yes, 3 has a flower pot for a mask. Don’t ask. I thought this was funny back then. Now I think, that it’s one of those cases, that it’s so bad, that it isn’t even funny anymore.
And, last but not least, Gali. Mata and Nuva versions actually look ok, but 3? I seriously have no idea, what mask and weapons are even supposed to be.
However, there is some resemblance to the Mistika version from 2008. Coincidence?
Ok, leaving these behind, next up are the Bohrok Kal from somewhen in 2003 by 6/7 year old me. I guess, I did improve somewhat. At least not regarding spelling errors.
And now there’s a greater leap to the year 2005. I was 9 years old, Star Wars Episode III was in the theaters and I was bored in school, so I did this:
Actually, I feel like “Darth” Sidorak doesn’t look that bad, though not in any way like Sidorak. I have no idea, why I added this spinner-staff-shield of death thing, though.
Oh yeah, and General Kuhrak. I actually added two arms to the set from 2003 and played that way with it for a while.
It’s probably a good thing, that you can see “Emperor” Makuta just from the back.
So what about your early Bionicle fanart?
