No no. I barely got any of the original yellow-skin-colored Star Wars sets. I just kinda prefer some of their faces over others.

Such as? I’m curious.

Well, for one, I do happen to prefer the original Lego Qui-Gon Jinn face.

It just looks more like Qui-Gon to me than this one:

Or Darth Vaders as well. I prefer this one over the new one:

I don’t like the new one. Something just feels off about it. It tries to for more of a realistic Vader, but it doesn’t understand that it’s a Lego Minifigure. It’s supposed to be simple, like the first image. Plus the first one looks more natural for the minifigure.

I agree on both your points, but likely due to nostalgia.

I saw Qui-Gon’s original face being used in various Brickfilms when I was younger, so that’s probably why. The newer face looks sad/tired (probably the lines under the eyes).

The original Vader is a huge historic part of LSW. It’s iconic.

Maybe the new helmet is a bit TOO realistic, but we’ll all get used to it eventually.

There certainly is a trade off here, IMO.
With every extra detailed and more intricate mold, it feels like legos lose a little creativity.

How is one complicated helmet mould any less creative then a slightly less complicated helmet mould? :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a perfect example right here.
Let’s say a little kiddo, or anyone for that matter, is building a house out of lego pieces.
Why would someone bother making their own custom sink build like this:

When they could just use this piece instead?

Because that first technique requires the cutting/sanding of a revolver piece.

Alright then.

Because it’s cheaper.

Wait, the wings of that shuttle don’t fold down? Not sure how I feel about that…

Also, I love how the announcer says “and save the droid!”.

So… I guess the embargo is lifted?

The bottom parts fold down I believe for landing, and parts of the wings also fold open to reveal 4 of them.

There was a livestream, it was long and boring, but it revealed set images and information for the upcoming TFA sets

@legomaster1378 Looks like the wings KIND of fold up. Probably not in the way you’d like it, but they do fold up.

I just realized that the Transporter is $90…am I missing something? It looks pretty small, though I think it’s just the angle. O_o

Since I can’t go to the store until after school tomorrow, I’m hoping all the inane fans don’t clear out the shelves by then. Although, from what some people have been saying, it seems like the LEGO aisle is going to be wrecked by tomorrow. :stuck_out_tongue:

There the smaller stormtrooper speeder set. You’re probably thinking of that.

grumble

I actually meant the First Order Transporter. From certain angles (like the official ones they released today), it looks really narrow. But like I said, it might be the angle.

Oh what ever. I personally think it’s looks cool.

And don’t complain. There’s been other Star Wars ships that have their wings upward when they land. Like Emperial Shuttles for example.

Yeah, but they don’t look like they have their wings up in flight mode as well. Or am I missing something?
