Me-“I just realized there was no general Lego Star Wars discussion. We have one for the new TFA sets and battle figures, but not for regular old lego Star Wars. I’m finally going to be able to create a topic everyone can enjoy.” Searches to be safe

Well. This topic was created a few weeks before I joined and therefore I never knew about if for a year. Dang I feel empty.
So I picked up Death Star Final Duel last week and am in love with it. The folding is great for storage. Vader’s new head is much better than the old one and they got his human face perfect. It even has a complacent redeemed smile. Palpatine and Luke are also great. The guards are what I expected, but I enjoy them. The collapsing platform is a good feature, as is the lightsaber tosser and the doors. The long tile near the gate you are supposed to flick made me disappointed at first, as it kept sending the figure to the right. Then I realized th pit is to the right. Then the amusement of Palpatine Basketball began.
Here we have some of the highlights for the 2016 Sets for our most favoritest Licensed Theme, Star Wars:
This Battlepack is cool and all, but the Figs don’t really do it for me. The Speeder is where it’s at.
Welp. It looks like we won’t be getting a TFA Battlepack for a while, but I’m still gonna buy quite a few of these bad boys, with their 'mazin Stormtroopers.
Thanks to that the Fan Video, “The Han Solo Affair”, I’ve been wanting a set like this for ages. I’m kind of disappointed we didn’t get Lando, since we haven’t seen him in his Cloud City Garb in a while.
This is basically the better version of the 2009 Echo Base, just without a Tauntaun.

We actually are getting one in January. The pictures for those just haven’t shown up yet, but we will be getting a First Order battle pack, and Resistance battle pack. (CM4Sci stated so on Eurobricks.)
Anyway, I’ll probably pick up the two BPs, Kanan’s Speeder, and the Carbon Freezing chamber. Everything else is meh, unfortunately.
Carbon Chamber is the best set ever.
Both battle packs look cool.
Likely will pick up the Homing Spider Droid as I skipped the last one and this version has stud shooters, friction pins and the new Yoda.
The one TFA set is great, but I will not say why because spoilers.
Rest is forgettable.
Sadly, they won’t integrate well with any Stormies in my collection. The dirt/battle-damaged armor will look too out of place next to the clean stormies…of course, when LEGO finally releases the OT-styled Stormtrooper in a cheap BP, they just had to look different.
That being said…they’re awesome. I’m sure I could find a use for them.
I remember seeing the packaging and thinking “Wow, we’re getting a chrome-gold C-3PO. Finally!” Nope, it’s just the same, ugly gold that LEGO always uses.
Actually, no. The oldest came in the 2000 Millennium Falcon, Droid Escape, 2004 Millennium Falcon, and more. That was just a celebration for the 30th anniversary of “Star Wars” in 2007.
