Okotan Adventures: Spider Saga

The trees would start to thin, and Hitora and Keya could just start to see the top of the city. “There it is.” Hitora tells her, Keya giddy with anticipation. “The City of the Mask Makers. should only be a short travel from here.”

“Rigjt.” Streke deadpanned . “Let Makuta do that. Don’t force blaze to help.”
Dakron brandished his scythe, clearly not moving.

He can bring me to him. I remember him with the shadows.

“Can. Won’t. Probably shouldn’t.” Streke shrugged. “Lots of people can do things. Doesn’t mean they want to. Or will.”

Doesn’t mean we care.” The Collected reply. “He caused our loss. We remember that. So he will cause its return

“Loss builds character. Something you clearly have none of.” Streke retorts.

We do not need character. We just need to regain what we no longer have.

Dakron signed some more, and Streke translated, “why? why is Makuta so important?”
Streke added, “yeah, why is this so special?”

Not without the Blaze following.” He hissed in reply. “But if that requires we instead follow him, so be it. He will lead us to Makuta one way or another. The shadows cling and hang on. None can remove them once traveled, and they will eventually draw them back.” He continued as his posture relaxed. His scythe still held, but seemingly less threateningly in position.

After he ate, Vladin realised that he needs more money if he wants to keep the life he established in the last three years. He was a historian! Well, kind off… What could he do?
Hey, why doesn’t he go to the City of Mask Makers? There sure is a place for a one-third-historian-one-third-former-prince-one-third-bankrupted Okotoan, right?
Of course there is! So he started getting his most important stuffs and prepared for a short trip to the city. He could sleep at Rena’s villa if the trip would take more than expected.

Speaking of Rena, she finished fixing everything. However, the replacement of her door was a rather crude piece of wood that was definetely standing out of the beautifull wooden fence, and her glasses from her grandma were now just a memory.
She was angry. She only wanted to invite Blaze for lunch, to chat for a few hours, to ask him about his parents, but no! Of course this can’t happen! Of course that that Undead-Edge-Lord-Mask thing has to show up! Of course a random blind guy has to invade her garden! You know, the norm!
She wanted to get rid of all of her anger, and since she really didn’t had anything better to do, she took a piece of paper, a pen, she tied the message by Mina’s leg, and off-she goes to the Pupeteer!
@Jcton

Athena, meanwhile, threw her spear in the middle of the living room. She calmed down and gave up, mainly because she couldn’t find the poison. She took a deep breath and went to Tarkur and Era.
“I am sorry. Wanna see where you’ll sleep?”
@Tarkur

Jevis landed in the capital of the region of fire, and began walking toward the inn, scanning the area for anyone who would stand out in a crowd. Being back in the capital of his home region brought back memories to say the least.

@Jcton Jevis saw the inn the hunter had mentioned and walked in briskly. He had been there a few times before, so he knew his way around. He approached the innkeeper in a somewhat intimidating way. “I was told that you would know something about an okotan named Symphony who lives around here. Where is he?”

Blaze looked worried, he had been trying to figure out what this entity meant by his connection to “shadows” until he said “once travelled”. That made Blaze wonder if this was referencing how he had used Sun-Eater’s Shadowstep ability multiple times.

Blaze brought out a notebook and wrote down a reminder for himself: Ask Ekimu if he could help at all with repairing and replacing Rena’s damaged belongings.

Hiraeth, after possibly hours of staring into the ahses and sharpening his axe, ( or was it just a few minutes? He lost track of time) gets up and retreats to his tent.
