Reclaiming Iden Nui

Hurikan attacks the hunter’s back legs.

As it opened its jaws Velike rushed forward, thrusting his spear towards its mouth as Tekan batted at one of the jaws with his sword.

Rums makes a slash at its back.

Eric summons in another Lightstone rifle, and then watches from a distance.

The hunter dies, the rest of the visorak scatter.
Kravo and Vomahiki lean on the vault wall,
“Let’s not do that again…”
Vomahiki say, wearily.
Kravo is silent.

Lync leaps down from her rock, rolling into a run as she hits the ground. She slides to a stop by Ta-aki’s body.

“What is the status of our leader?” Remus asks Lync.

Fycas sheathes his katana and puts his shield on his back. He turns and sees the body of Polik about 10 feet away. ‘Poor guy, wish I got to know him better.’

OOC: I’m going on hiatus for a week, Fycas will just follow you guys.

Ta-aki’s body is broken, from the torso down. He is silent. A small book lies next to his body. It seems to be a mission log.

Remus walks over to his body and picks up and reads the book, not paying much attention to his body.

There’s a book mark near the first page.

Kravo and Vomahiki walk over.

Remus opens to the bookmark and starts reading.

It reads:
Retrieve the seven shards of light, then recreate the Mask of Light, Luceat
The only known shard holder is Kravo, my apprentice
The last light turned him into a vo-matoran
Find the Great Key, deliver it to Bo-calix
Reclaim Po-wahi-metru with its key, the stone key, the key is in the inner vault
the last lights locations are unknown, My companions will need to find them
Grow in Strength
Grow in Wisdom
Grow in Unity
We choose our Destiny
We choose our Duty
We choose to do or don’t
Win for the island, win for your dreams

Lync snatches the book from Remus’s hands (or tries, at least).

“Mata Nui, do you have any respect for the dead?” she exclaims, her voice annoyed rather than anguished.

Eric walks over and looks at Ta-aki’s body. “Well, I guess our leader has fallen. Let’s continue on then, we have a makuta to kill.”

Kravo looks at the kra-matoran, @Omega_Tahu
“Do you think we can take him as we are?”
Vomahiki looks at Kravo, thinking,
I don’t think Kravo’s been this direct before…

Eric gives a small laugh. “He’s dead, it’d be best for us to leave him and continue on.”

Kravo walks in front of Eric,
“I don’t like how you’re talking about him…He was my friend.”
He gives Eric an angry glare.

Vmahiki sighs,
“Why do I have to be with him?”

Eric stops, meeting his glare. “And your friend is dead, it’s best to forget him for the time being and continue with the mission.”

“Well, do you even know the next part of this mission?”
Kravo says sarcastically,
“Because, not keeping the leader alive was a ‘great’ plan.”
He continues,
“He was my friend and he deserves a proper burial. I didn’t travel throughout the night to catch up to you guys for nothing.”
