Salvation: Part II

The squad leader tilts his head.

“…Obviously,” he affirms.

“Well what if the ones on the surface attack us?”

“What 'ones on the surface?” the squad leader asks. “Those pilgrims all left with the Salvation. We’re the only civilized beings on this crazy rock.”

Spectrum looks to see if there were any buttons she could press or levers to pull. [quote=“Chromeharpoon, post:5442, topic:49995”]
Breakswitch chuckles.

Vigor turns to his brothers.
“Why can’t you be like that?”
Lightshift rolled his eyes.
“Here we go again.”[quote=“Chromeharpoon, post:5442, topic:49995”]
Flyby… uh… flies back to the bridge, waving to the Splitter brothers as he enters the room.

Thrust waves back.

Sidestep follows a few moments later, skidding to a halt and transforming.

There was an array of blue, hexagonal holo-screens around the console.

“Hey,” Flyby calls out to those on the bridge. “Any of you have any idea why there’s a hologram of the Allspark in Little Iacon now?”

“That’s what it is?” Breakswitch remarks. “I just though it was a fancy lamp.”

Spectrum poked one.

Lightshift, Thrust, and Vigor look at each other.
“Maybe it’s because of that.”
Thrust points at Motherboard’s display of Spectrum in the room.

Holographic blueprints of Salvation materialize above the console. Orange lights highlight recent additions and upgrades to the Fleetcarrier, such as ship-wide energy shields, self-regenerating molecular hull plating, the complete redesign of Little Iacon, and the room Spectrum stood in right at that moment.

Two new windows materialize on Motherboard’s screen. One shows Little Iacon, and another shows the Omega Key chamber. Timestamps running along the edges of the windows showed that the knight statue in Little Iacon had risen at almost the same time as when Spectrum plugged the key into the platform.

Spectrum studied the display for a moment, then poked another hexagon. [quote=“Chromeharpoon, post:5452, topic:49995”]

Sidestep nodded. “Ah.”

A hologram of Salvation’s next destination- the mysterious green planet- replaces the Fleetcarrier’s blueprints above the console.

“The timing of the two events would suggest that they are related,” Motherboard notes.

“So… it’s not a threat?”

The planet vanishes, and a series of images briefly flash above the console- stills and short clips from the ancient security footage that Zepar had found in Planet Omega’s spaceport.

“By all indications, no,” Motherboard confirms.

“All of them left? Huh. Didn’t knew that. I thought that only some of them.”

The New Decepticons are silent as the dropship takes off, darting out of the hangar and flying down toward the sea, where the wreck of the Dark Sky could be seen partially jutting out of the water. The spaceport’s weapons had dealt a number on the ship, and it had been torn into three pieces in its crash. Energon, coolant, and oil were leaking out of the hulk and tinting the surrounding water black and varying shades of green.

Song is also silent.

The dropship hovers in the air beside one of the Dark Sky’s hangar bays, and the New Decepticon rescue team rises to their feet and begin to leap out into the wreck.

Song did the same.

Zepar would be found outside Engineering, studying one of the holographic displays of the strange Spark and the various verses from the Covenant of Primus.

Gronius approached him.
“Hey, what’s up!”

“Just studying this curious display.” Zepar answered, “How about you?” (@Toa_Vladin)

The rescue team fans out to search the hangar. The lights in the ceiling were inactive, leaving the flashlights on the Troopers’ weapons the only sources of light, along with the last golden rays from the setting sun. Mangled fightercraft and tanks of energon were strewn about the hangar, along with the crushed bodies of unfortunate New Decepticons.
