The CCBS Topic

Because budget. :stuck_out_tongue:

Now that I don’t have a good explanation for. They’re already in production in black in Onua. And while brown could work for Obi-Wan, it really does clash on Luke and Jango.

I think it has a lot to due with contrasting/complementing colours. Red and black can look really good together. Look at Core Hunter:

jango’s holsters are made of leather. that’s why they’re brown.

IMO, something about Jango seems to be…off. IDK what exactly.

I’ll probably just get Obi-Wan and Grevious, save my other monies for Bionicle.

Actually, I am happy that they are in brown

I can finally make that one cowboy herofactory thing a reality.

I’m taking a look back at Grievous, and realizing how inaccurate he is.

For once, Lego made his legs too bulky, and what’s up with those shoulders?

(I mean I’ll still be buying it because its a crazy build and tan CCBS…)

The shoulders seem pretty accurate to me:

As for the legs, I think stability played a large part in their bulk. Besides, they’re only 3-4 pins wide. I think that’s perfectly acceptable.

That’s the Clone Wars variant of Grievous. If they were basing it off of that, then they made his midsection too big.

I understand that, and I would have done the same thing if I was in their position. It’s not a bad set IMO, just a bit inaccurate.

That’s LEGO for ya. :stuck_out_tongue:

as far as I can tell, the designs are amalgamations of multiple designs of the characters, plus a little of their own touches, like TF:Prime.

Love these!
Perfect use of legos, technic and ccbs. MrBoltTron is awesome.

Really? There’s tons of Bionicle parts in there. Just because they’re not large pieces doesn’t mean they’re not there.

I didn’t say anything about the size only that he did not mention it

… Because Technic is Bionicle. There is no special BIONICLE system or parts. Bionicle was always part of the Technic line

What’s debatable. BIONICLE was originally branded as TECHNIC, and it used many TECHNIC parts through the years. However, many parts - while having TECHNIC-style attachment points - were extremely specific to BIONICLE’s aesthetic.

After 2003 it was stopped as being labeled under the Technic brand and then it officially became it’s own theme and themes like hero factory and chima also used technic but they are also they’re own themes as well

I always wondered why all CCBS bones had three tiny holes in the balljoints…

Maybe it has something to do with friction/stability/using less plastic and costing less money?
