I think it has a cool use in smash every thing else is meh IMO.

I don’t have enough amiibo compatible games to make them worth it for me.

Smash 4? Serves a function not dissimilar to CPU players, but locked into one charcter. (I guess as a more competitive leaning player I don’t care that much about amiibo training/fighting)
Amiibo Tap is nice, the closest thing the Wii U has right now to a working demo library.

Don’t have any other compatible games for the Wii U, or a way to get them to my old 3DS. What I would like to see for Amiibo is probably something that uses the figures in a similar way to Skylanders or LEGO Dimensions, with each figure unlocking a character or a level or something like that in a sort of second Nintendo Crossover (because Smash can only take you so far as a crossover.)

My amiibos.
I also have both links.

I found that amiibos have use in Hyrule Warriors, and Mario Karts 8. I have Smash 4, but that is obvious.
In HW: They give you gifts n stuff. One such gift is 1 rupee. Utterly useless!
In MK9: Mii Racing Suits.

Problem with that is how would each character be used. Smash is much easier to make as it is a “2D” playing field, once a game goes 3D you have to think of area, range thought of in a 360 space and etc. However Nintendo would probably make more Mario amiibo for it and it probably be only nintendo characters at first. Hopefully it wouldn’t be a yearly installment but updated regularly, unlike Disney infinity and skylanders.

Amiibo? I like to scalp them!

Game&Watch is gonna be the only one I’ll get.

One day I will have my Robin and Megaman amiibos.

I will never understand why people are so hyped about these little figurines.

I don’t like the amiibo. They’re decent figurines but you shouldn’t have to own them in order to access certain game features. Good thing I don’t have a Wii U.

Oh, okay.

They didn’t hide any game features behind amiibo, like levels or characters. They only offered some optional stuff like weapons from LoZ amiibo in Hyrule Warriors. Cosmetic costumes for your mii in MK8. The only that is kinda weird is Mario Party 10 that’s probably my least favorite use of the amiibo

I like Amiibo

Amiibo are a mixed bag for me.

I wouldn’t mind going out and buying them if they weren’t so poorly stocked and expensive! Plus I’m in Thailand, so Issues.

I’m really tempted to pay top dollar for Marth just so I can have him in FE14.

Protip: SOMETIMES you’re better off importing from Japan.

These are my amiibo, so yeah…

Went to Target the other day, they only had Jigglypuff and Zelda.

Here’s the thing about Amiibo. They’re cool, small statues that can give you a cool play pal, a character skin, and so on and so forth. What I don’t like is the excessive amount of love they receive, even though we have something similar with the World of Nintendo line (Which doesn’t have as many licenses, but has some pretty good looking figures)
