Eyvris stayed steadfast and cold. “What’s going on here.” He asks, almost indifferently.
Alpha beeped a cautious response to Saras, only to remember he couldn’t be understood. The automaton growled with frustration at this new limitation.
Realising he was human her tone changed to fear, “n-nothing sir, we-we’re meeting quota”
Saras stowed his weapons and removed his helmet. “Quota?” He asked. “What is going on? Who’s forcing you to do this?” He asks.
Eyvris stayed on guard, but stepped back, worried that this might be a trick to lower their guard.
Alpha remebered what that old man had said. Non humans were hunted and slaughtered. The kitmaj shouldn’t be here.
Alpha desperately tried to convey this to Saras, but to no sucess. Only making the automaton angrier.
Beta cautiously hid behind Tortwig.
“you’re glorious, and superior spieces, my Lord,” he tone still weak, but with a tinge of confusion
Alpha let out a rapid series of angry beeps and tones at the kitmaj, not trusting her in the slightest.
He steps back and drops his helmet. “Oh my gods.” He says, distraught. “…I’m…I can’t believe it.” He continues, in shock.
Eyvris scowls. “So this is how Nordum’s been treating them?” He asks.
Seeing his shock she flinched, “i-i’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do wrong,” she said fearfully
Alpha quickly stepped in front of Saras. He beeped a fast and frantic warning. Even if he couldn’t convey exactly why it was clear the droid thought there was something very wrong with the situation.
Saras’ eyes were filled with sadness. “Nonononono, you didn’t do anything wrong.” He said. “Those monsters who keep you here did.”
Eyvris notices the droids. “You don’t trust them either?” He asked Alpha.
She looked confused, yet still frightened
Alpha nods frantically in agreement. He was frustrated with the emotions Saras displayes. These were the same errors that Edward made that lead to his demise. He didn’t want to see his new companion fall for the same trap.
“Who forced you to work like this, those people are the ones who don’t deserve the skin on their backs.” He said. “Over here, guys!” Saras calls back to the rest of the group. “We’ve got to help these people!”
Eyvris sighs. “Agreed.”
“this was Lux’s will,” she replied, unsure
His eyes narrow. “That horrible, good for nothing…” He grumbles. “Lux is a monster, we’ve known this. We’ll help you with your plight.”
“plight?” She asked
“You look like you haven’t eaten in days!” He says, gesturing to her. “Surely that’s worthy of being called a ‘plight?’”
Alpha pushed against Saras’ leg, desperately trying to urge him away from the kitmaj.
“I’ve not earned the right, it’s how it should be,” she said, clearly not understanding
